Should I go back to church?

So Jow Forums, I've been thinking about going back to church again. But I'm not sure about which path to follow. I've been baptised and raised as a catholic, but stopped going to church ages ago and dropped out because I couldn't find myself in the doctrines of the church. Now that our civilisation is collapsing and people seem to be lost in senseless hedonism I start to appreciate the 'higher good' and the social cohesion the church used to bring. And growing older I'm thinking a lot about neccessity to recognise the existence of the soul and maybe even God. But I just don't know is catholicism the way for me to go. It seems to be in good order with tradition in it's masses but we all know the (rightful) blows the catholic church has gotten over the years. And now with the current Pope it just seems to get more and more cucked. Where's the 'deus vult' spirit once echoing through the veins of every catholic?

So I'm wondering is the catholic church the right European one, or is it lutheranism? Or would it make more sense to drop out of the church orthodoxy in a way that God should be more interpreted as in being in and around all of us. Like some kind of panteism as (((Spinoza))) proposed?

So TL;DR:

Should I go back to the catholic church or convert to protestantism? Or drop out completely? I'm mostly looking for opinions on the interpretation of God and which role the church leaders should play. Because I think a lot of division is caused on this end of the equation.

Prominent clergy have called out "Pope" Francis for heresy and want bishops to denounce him. Stay catholic, we may see a new pope soon.

Is there chance they'll succeed?

"I've been radicalised by right-wing hysteria and internet-memes and now I'm falling for the going-Back-to-church meme because moving Forward I'm simply going to ignore the hypocrisy, corruption, child-fucking, globalist cuckery and non-existance of God which drove me to leave to begin with; because I want to feel a Sense of belonging and heritage, eventhough the church did Not give me that the First time round and Reading Up on the History of the church reveals Just how pathetic, corrupt and embarassing its 'heritage' is".

M'cringe

Read my post user. You're talking more about assumptions than facts here.

I went to a Catholic service in Italy and it was very high energy.

youtube.com/watch?v=H3v9unphfi0

Muslim here so you might not read my post.

I'd say either go Orthodox Christian, Jew or Muslim.
The rest is bongers

This. Le based church brough all the somalians into Minnesota and now we have an isis agent in congress.

Still appreciated. I don't know much about Orthodox Chistianity to be honest.

no gods no masters.

Any Christian sect but catholism. Just start praying to Jesus and reading the Bible, NT first. Ask Him to guide you to the right path.

You are too weak to make your own decisions so you definitely can't survive without some religion. Whatever one you choose doesn't matter you'll believe whatever they tell you.

Gotta be careful with churches these days user. Jesus was pretty clear about that. All denominations have been infiltrated and it is rare to find one that isn't run as a glorified money laundering operation. I'm moving to a Baptist Church that's operated out if an old storefront. The mega-churches that still shill for donations and tithes from the congregation should be avoided.

If that was the case I wouldn't need to open up a discussion, right?

We don't really have these mega-churches in here. As of yet most churches are getting sold because no one is attending anymore.

Basically a thousand years ago there was a schism, because some power hungry kikes tried to subvert the church. Those that followed the old ways because known as Orthodoxy, while the rest branched off into the literal thousands denominations of Protestantism you see today.

Even today Orthodoxy is unchanged for how it was a thousand years ago. Also they do not recognize the ((( pope ))) as an all powerful figure. He is simply the “patriarch of Rome” - the pope does not like that label.

TLDR It’s the least cucked variant of Christianity you can get.

Stay away from Luther's heresy. He created a dialectic autism of "works" vs "faith", which is completely retarded. His spawns follows only their limited version of the Bible and ignore the first apostles, all the patristic, the reasons behind other books on NT and all the tradition that brings us to the true way of Christianity (and they pretend they don't). Protestants have some kind of idolatry for the Bible, disregarding all the rest the first Christians did and passed on. Pretending the Church never happened while popes were on Peter's throne and before his (((revolution))) (which killed 2/3 of Germany's male population; that was no "reform", that was political).

>but we all know the (rightful) blows the catholic church has gotten over the years
And still it's the less fucked up denomination and the most conservative alongside Orthodox. All the others have felt to degeneration. The protestant areas in Europe are becoming more and more SJW, (((progressive))), (((tolerant))), atheists and getting filled by mudslims.

The downside of the Roman Catholic Church is from time from time we will have some anti-popes and leftists try to corrupt it from inside all the time (but we are fighting back and we are winning). I see only Orthodox as a valid alternative, but you don't live in an Orthodox area. I suppose, if you are Catholic in Netherlands, you should keep being Catholic -- Dutch pirates and protestants have created a mess in the world in the Navigation Era, if you are Catholic and Dutch, so that's special, it's something about your family, you should keep inside of it.

And forgive me, I really get to go right now. I'm late to work. God bless you, and God bless you all, Jow Forums.

Also, the downside with Orthodox is sometimes they fall "below" temporal governments. But that's very situational. Centralization helps the Roman Church on it.

Fuck you you weak minded faggot. Go to church if you want to, don't go if you don't want to. Why are you asking the retards on Jow Forums who unironically think they memed Trump into office using numerology frog magic on how to make life changing spiritual decisions?

If you go to church, your pastor will be a cucked faggot, be prepared. What you should do instead is read the Bible and cherrypick anti-kikemetic quotes from it to live by, that would be more spiritual than going to church and hearing some carefully cherrypicked corporatized speech in an effort to extrat the maximum amount of tithes as possible.

You subhuman brown ratlet, shut your fucking mouth. Go eat a sewer rat in the shittiest favela you can find.

While you ponder that question, come help destroy the ZOG:

The Catholic Church is the most politically attacked and subverted institution in the world, because all the liberal and socialist powers understand very well that the Church is the one institution that can effectively oppose their program of materialism & de-moralisation of the masses. It is a worldwide institution that commands moral authority like no other, that's why the revolutionaries recognised early on that their success depended on neutralising its power and authority.

The Catholic Church today is full of corrupt, traitorous clergy & expert laity who are selling out the Church to the world powers. Don't be put off by this appalling spectacle however. The Catholic Church as an institution founded by Jesus Christ is far more powerful than any of its corrupt members. The Church has been infiltrated and corrupted by the most disgusting & cowardly men before in history, and yet it always outlives them.

I recommend listening to the talks of the Catholic intellectual E. Michael Jones.
Here's a very good one to start with about the sexual revolution:

Here's his book on the Jews and how they're at forefront of revolutionary movements:

But in the end you must make your decision on religious principles, rather than political ones. Religion has a political role, but it ultimately transcends politics since our duties towards God are even higher than our duties towards the state & the country, and more immediate to the salvation of our souls. The Catholic Church is the true Church of Christ, the one full of the great saints & martyrs, as well as writers and artists. The first thing you must do is PRAY to God for enlightenment, ask Him where He wants you to be. You should also pray to Mary for guidance.

How about you read the actual bible yourself. Catholocism has made a joke of the bible. Catholics arent christians imo.. what they believe is so far off of the bible its similar to mormons.

Thank you, could expand more on the doctrine of the orthodox church? What position has prayer for example?

Have a good work day. Thank you.

Well ideally I would be able to discuss various issues and topics with whoever leads the ceremony. This is something I would do before 'joining' any church whatsoever.

Yes

Theologically speaking, the Catholic church is on much firmer ground.
However I find it hard to believe that it's a coincidence that virtually every northern European country with the exception of Ireland went Protestant. There seems to something about Northern Europeans that veers towards Protestantism, and that maybe why you never really clicked with Catholicism.
Of course you could start a movement to form a Dutch rite Catholic church, similar to what the Byzantines and Coptics did. That may be the best of both worlds.

I will never understand how you state worshippers justify this horseshit when far more public school teachers rape children than priests.

>Minnesota
>Catholic
Try again.

Don't join a church at all. If you want a community, just invite me over to fuck your mom and I'll be your friend in the meantime. If you are looking for spiritual guidance, ask the deity of your choice. Seriously, don't let some thin-faced wrinkly cheeked big nosed perverted "pastor" do your thinking for you.

Get to this church in Amsterdam if you can.

They are traditionalist Catholics so they are far more likely to sympathise with your political views than the average Catholic parish, which these days have been infiltrated by leftism because of the corruption of Catholic seminaries (priest training colleges).

No

Depends if you can cope or need to lie to yourself.

I went to my first Mass past week. One of the most beautiful things I'd ever experienced, as soon as it was over I looked forward to going the next weekend. Already baptized and the priest told me to learn the ritual of mass by heart and then its confirmation time.

It's not the "god" neither "religion" itself that attracts people, but rather the idea behind them: that there is "something" that can give hope, guide people and provide the sense of purpose.

Once you grasp that you can (and should) provide these by yourself, you won't be needing a religion, especially a shitty 2000+ year old spin-off of judaism.

There will be no salvation, there is no one in "heavens" to help you... There is only you, and neverending cycle of birth and death, called "life".

There's something beautiful about objective ethics. Mostly the fact, that you can understand it by yourself, with the use of observation, logic and reason. Start from these points:

1. We're living beings, therefore our only choice in the universe is to live or not exist at all.
2. If we're living beings, then our existential imperative is life, not "inexistence".
3. Therefore, everything that makes life better (including self-defence) is good/virtuous, and everything that does harm to life is unfavourable.

Do the rest of thinking.
