This is honestly a critical part of a successful marriage. Marrying for love is nice, but love doesn't pay the bills. For a relationship to work out it needs support and nourishment from each of the pair's families. Nowadays in the west, we're so detached from our families (that is, those of us that even bother to have kids), that we don't take an interest in the happiness and success of their marriage. So of course it fails, it's like leaving a flower in the shade with no water. Women are pack animals, and when they see their relationship getting no or minimal support from their pack, they figure it's not worth maintaining.
