We're going to have to talk about the differing causes of revolution, namely right and left wing revolution. All revolutions share a single causal circumstance: the conditions of living, for whatever reason, must be bad enough that a significant part of the population sees the risk involved in armed uprising as equally, or perhaps more, bearable to continued existence under the current system. Generally, for the revolution to succeed, this part of the population must outnumber the part of the population that is willing to take up arms in defense of the current system.
For Marx, the archetypal left wing revolutionary, revolution arises from the workers throwing off the chains of their class and uniting against the upper classes. But history and reality did not bear this out. Why? Simply put, the system that the working class in western civilization labored under improved their position over time. Each successive generation did better than the one before it. This meant that the portion of the population that was willing to risk their lives to overthrow the system did not outnumber those who would risk their lives in defense of it. As a consequence, Marxist rhetoric fell mostly on deaf ears. As such, no such left wing Marxist revolution ever occurred in an industrialized country.
However, they did occur in two large pre-industrial agrarian countries, China and Russia. This is because, in a country where the vast majority are not just working class, but essentially serf-class, who know nothing but grueling toil, day in, day out, spanning back generations, it is much, much easier to sell a revolution that promises something new, something progressive, something equalizing. The industrial worker is not willing to kill his boss, because he knows one day, he could be the boss. And if not him, his children. The peasant serf has no such hope.
***Simply stated: Left wing revolutions occur where the population has known nothing but misery, and seeks to transcend their miserable position and install something entirely new. ***
So then, what about the other side of the coin? If history did not bear out Marx’s theory, let’s take a look at what actually happened with his proletariat. The revolution of the industrialized working class was that of Adolph Hitler. It was right wing in the sense of recognizing hierarchy and rejecting equality (the original dimension of the right/left dichotomy), and violently anti-communist. Here, it was not the misery of their existence (though they were miserable) that drove them to overthrow the system they lived under. Rather, it was a deep and profound sense of nostalgia. Of better days in the past. Of decline.
Life was bad. But it hadn’t always been bad. Where the left wing revolution relies on a population that has never known anything better and pines for something drastically new, the right wing revolution comes from a population that seeks to return to the glory days of the past and halt their decline. The right wing revolution is the revolution of the working and middle classes, who know that their systems worked for them before, and can work for them again. They just have to put a bullet in the right people.
Hunter Price
So then, between right and left wing revolution, which do you think is more applicable to our current situation? It should be fairly obvious, but if revolution is to occur in Europe or America, it WILL be right wing in nature. Because better days are behind us. We know what power and prosperity and glory taste like. And eventually, once things get bad enough, we will fight to get them back. We’re not there yet though. Germany faced a decade of economic collapse before it rose from the ashes of Weimar. It is likely we will have to go through the same thing.
But what does all this have to do with Notre Dame burning? It should be clear that though we’re on the right track, things will have to get worse, a lot worse, before they get better. In the mean time, anything and everything that makes the average European say “I remember when (bad thing) didn’t happen.” is a blessing. Simply put: nostalgia becomes a weapon, and an extremely powerful one at that.
> “I remember when our national monuments didn’t burn down in front of us.” > “I remember when our grocers spoke French.” > “I remember when our children weren’t murdered at concerts” > “I remember when my daughter wasn’t raped and called a white whore”
And on and on and on. Of course, losing great works of cultural heritage is always a tragedy. But I urge you to see the light at the end of the tunnel, regardless of how far away it may seem. After all, we built it before, and we can build it again. We can even build more and better monuments. All that’s required is a bit of looking backwards.

Revolution won't happen in the first world because the first world working class are labour aristocracy and are essentially bribed with the spoils of imperialism not to revolt. Revolution is most likely in the third world. This does not mean however that there will never be revolutions in the first again, because as NATO hegemony is breaking down, eventually the barrier between first and third world will close.
And for right wingers, what the fuck do they have to revolt against? They've already got capitalism.

>And for right wingers, what the fuck do they have to revolt against? They've already got capitalism. are you new to Jow Forums or something? the alt-right hates the "progressive" part of "progressive neoliberalism". they want to overthrow the current order to establish a fascist regime
This. It is exceptionally difficult to mobilize any kind of revolution when peoples basic needs are being met. Try convincing a human to give up what passes for comfort in their lives to get off their ass and get dirty, muddy and bloody and you'll encounter a glassy eyed, slack jawed imbecile. Unless the present system collapses, something the people in power wring their hands over every single day, and strive to keep fron happening, nothing will ever change.
Joshua Thomas
I'm not being vitriolic when I say a mind that could both conjure this and be amused by it is stunted. Not being mean, but you're literally stupid and it's a biological marvel.
>what do you have to revolt against A culture of mass consumerism, repressive left-wing policies, a neoliberal-socialist alliance against nationalism, a declining birthrate combined with replacement immigration, needless taxation for degenerate culture and foreign enrichment, loss of rights and freedoms, etc. Man leftys are brain dead >muh capitalism
Jack Garcia
It's not even the issue of "basic needs". Revolutions sometimes happen even if the populace isn't literally starving. The problem is that the parliamentary/republican system has way too much legitimacy with the working class. There has never been an armed revolted in a bourgeois democracy, which is why every tinpot dictators still maintains the thinnest of veil of republicanism and hold the title of El Presidente.
The Left needs to realize what the Right did: That you CAN effect your desired change through the parliamentary process, only that it takes getting your hands very dirty. The so-called "illiberal democracies" (inc. Israel) prove this. All you really need to do is to do the opposite of the Right once you hold the reigns of state: Democratize power, build up bottom-up institutions and dismantle barriers to entry into the political process. And, above all else, organize and organize hard. The Right is just so much more organized than the Left at the moment. It even has more international solidarity and cooperation than the Left, which is just fucking disgraceful.
Julian Ross
>a neoliberal-socialist alliance ????
Ayden Long
Right-wingers have strongly held convictions and values, blood, family, race, order, tradition etc. When they fight it is for a greater ideal than shallow materialism. Leftists don't really truly believe in anything apart from chanting slogans and wearing all black to feel cool and tough and as such they will scurry off like rats at the first sign of trouble. For this reason the right has a major advantage if it all comes down to the fists.
The socialists of America, DSA, PSL, Antifa, the likes, are forever lauded by the neoliberal elites. Keith Ellison, Chris Cuomo, Mitt Romney, Tim Kaine, all of the support the red mob attacking and denying rights to nationalists.

Yeah but that's because they just want more capitalism. And they're also idiots. I'd hate to help the right, but every time far-rightism has been adopted its led to the further collapse of capitalism. Last time you tried it you lost almost half of Germany. The democrats are the "smarter" side of capitalism that knows it can't just have everything it wants.
Gabriel Richardson
He supports antifa and attacking the right wing. The DSA and antifa are one and the same, just masked vs unmasked. He would rather side with an ardent communist than a moderate nationalist like Steve King.

Frankly speaking, the left in the United States is utterly self defeating. I know virtue signalling is kind of a trite way to put it, but it's one of the main afflictions. People on the left are over educated to the point of uselessess. They attempt to out do each other in the moral righteousness department constantly, until what little cohesion they had disintegrates. The final flaw I've noticed is that everyone wants to be the chief and no one wants to be an indian, crudely put. The last point I'll make is that the left sucks -hard- at street fighting that gets too real.
Anthony Reyes
Is this a Beaver post?
Justin Allen
The rank-and-file are quite explicit about race and nationalism being the focus of their movement. You can say they are being race-baited into advancing the class interests of the bourgeois (which is true), but the bait is still race, and white supremacy is what any Right uprising will seek to achieve. Harsher capitalism is just the side gig.
Cameron Cruz
Somehow I really really doubt it.
Colton Price

It's not just the USA. These issues have existed in pretty much every Leftist movement since World War 1.
Matthew Long
Then feel free to look up it. All the names I've mentioned have supported far-left violence and have denounced nationalism.
Aiden Martin
Race and nationalism cannot be separated from the economic. We all know another famous racist, Adolf Hitler. On the surface, if one doesn't look at his actions, he seems to target jew and slavs because of their "inferiority" and his perceived grievances against them. But when you look at his practice, his lebensraum plan, there was one motive for it and for his racism: to justify enslaving jews and slavs and colonizing their lands to save capitalism in Nazi Germany. This is textbook racism, its no surprise that Hitlers lebensraum plan is almost exactly the same as the colonization of the americas and the racist hierarchy the British developed to justify slavery and genocide of native americans.
William Phillips

I know..and the fact that we've been unable to move past these basic issues after a hundred years of practice is incredibly embarassing.
I tend to agree with this point of view. It's actually one of the weaknesses on the right. They believe in self sufficiency, independence and so on, and generally feel that the poor or unprepared should be thrown under the bus. It's the only major chink in the armor I see as it comes to the consolidation of power after whatever scale or political bent of revolution takes place. Though an uprising initiated by the right is obviously preferable from an opitics standpoint.
Landon Gutierrez
>Simply put: nostalgia becomes a weapon,
It is one of the most powerful weapons there is. It can even be nostalgia for a place someone has never been, or a circumstance that never even existed. Even an imagined place and time is enough if you can make people feel nostalgic for it.
What's more, the other side cannot fight the past, especially if it is a past that never even existed.
True, but that's in large part because the Right can't express itself properly. The modern and postmodern Right have always been in large part about political spectacle. Sentimentality, not ideological consistency. All the great shibboleths of the Right - Traditionalism, Flag, Honor, Family, Freedom, Religion, the Troops, the Nation - are there to provoke a vague feeling of personal moral superiority, not to affect change in the world. (yes, I am well aware this is reflected in a certain "idealist" strand of the Left, too) Insofar as the Right does express its policy prescriptions, these are always about stripping others of their dignity and autonomy (and lives) to make more room for those who are worthy.
Cooper White
Exciting times.
Thomas Hill
Your basic preposition is based on the your supposed fact that lemmings will follow right off a cliff without thinking. That isn't the truth at all.
I'm just saying the sentiment in is very familiar but I don't remember where I've seen it
James Powell
>In the mean time, anything and everything that makes the average European say “I remember when (bad thing) didn’t happen.” is a blessing. Simply put: nostalgia becomes a weapon, and an extremely powerful one at that. That's essentially what made Make America Great Again resonate so much back in 2016. ..and still does with many people outside of pol who don't obsess about jews.
Eli Watson
The revolution will start and the cause is the failure of democracy. Democracy has betrayed us and was weaponized to serve (((globalists))) and their schemes. Socialism is one of their propaganda vehicles. Both of those must be destroyed. So you already know what this means.
Jose Allen
>I know..and the fact that we've been unable to move past these basic issues after a hundred years of practice is incredibly embarassing. I believe it's just evolutionary biological reality. Something about leftists has evolved them to have these issues. Of course a leftist would scoff at the idea, being moronic blank statists, but the proof is in the pudding: you've never been able to overcome these issues.
Left wants to pretend that Stalinist purges were just an aberration; he's just the one who was most blatant about it.
Colton King
The idealist strand of the left is made up of liberals who sometimes get wrapped up in idpol and intersectional vanguardism as opposed to the "real" and historic left made up of Marxists who are materialists and not idealists. Social Democracy is the moderate wing of fascism and those that hope to reform an immoral system are lost.
You're right in that the right cannot express itself properly. Their ultimate goal is the absolute freedom to subjugate all those who don't adhere to their worldview and to drain the world and its people of its resources and blood. Fascists don't stand for freedom, they stand for their own freedom and the preservation of the economic system that assures that absolute best for themselves and their chosen people. What they don't give a shit about is that capitalist fucks still live like kings compared to them. They are bootlickers through and through.
Hudson Morgan
>Social Democracy is the moderate wing of fascism hot take
Luke Carter
I agree. I predict my own side will be resoundingly crushed in whatever happening is around the corner. I don't have to like it. It is, however, the only conclusion I've been able to reach.
Easton Hall
How did we go from "moralization, over-education and ceaseless infighting" to "Stalinist purges"? Is this another "coax the leftists to spill their internal criticisms so you can use it to bash them" episode?
Jayden Powell
Could be. The evolutionary stuff is garbage, but the main thrust of the post seems to be pointing out something that has proven true. The left struggles tp get off the ground for all reasons mentioned, once it succeeds and unifies it does so around a polar opposite, but very similar clone of whoever's on the right. Then it all falls apart. Again, I don't have to like it. The types of people, their life experience of those who comprise the left are ao far divorced from those of the lives of people from around WW1 it's laughable. The left has gone physically soft, the suffering they proclaim to fight is largely other groups' rather than their own. We don't have any momentum because to be honest, we don't have any real belief. That's why I predict losing.
Far right conservative whites exhibit k-selection and therefore are more loyal, protective, and supportive of offspring, family and racial group. magaimg.net/img/7nfh.jpg
The extreme far right is the only group with positive population replacement rates. Which means the white world will be ours magaimg.net/img/7ney.jpg
Whites are the fiercest and most capable warriors. Do not fuck with us. magaimg.net/img/7nez.jpg
Nostalgia for our culture and stolen prosperity is what will fuel the revolution. This is why the Jews seek to destroy our history. It is our kryptonite. magaimg.net/img/7rey.jpg
We also own the largest amount of guns for a single homogenous civilian group. 46 million white, right wing adults own 125 million firearms. For context, this is 21 times larger than the world's largest army of 2.1 million soldiers in China and 31 times larger than the U.S. Army, most of whom are on the right. magaimg.net/img/7nog.jpg magaimg.net/img/7noh.jpg magaimg.net/img/7noi.jpg magaimg.net/img/7noj.jpg
And despite all the Jewish brainwashing and trickery, we are waking up unlike never before and realizing we are part of a much larger group. IT IS OK TO BE WHITE. magaimg.net/img/7heq.jpg
The Jews hate to see a group superior to theirs create the wonders of the world. magaimg.net/img/7nf1.jpg
The reality is that there will come a time in the very near future when the white man wakes up and decides he's done taking shit. The world will change forever. magaimg.net/img/7h4p.jpg
Its Maoism-Third Worldism. But I don't consider it distinct from leninism, just an extension of it. Marx, Engles and Lenin all spoke about this.
Alexander Green
>"moralization, over-education and ceaseless infighting" to "Stalinist purges"? Pretty straightforward, as I *explicitly* said that Stalin was only the most explicit about it. He had the power to do what most leftists would do in his position: purge his opposition who were moralizing and "ceaselessly infighting"
I don't need to "coax the leftists to spill their internal criticisms," they already spew it over the whole internet. Don't play dumb, moshe
Alexander Anderson
Stalin didn't "purge" the opposition, he purged the trotskyist-zinoviev terrorist bloc.
