Working for a company that recently started pushing for diversity really opened my eyes to their behavior. If you're black or even mulatto, they'll give you a job just by showing up. Good base salary with benefits and commission, sets you up for good financial security and gives you the experience as a stepping stone for your career.
What do they do with this opportunity? They show up late, they go smoke weed in the ally and lunch, come back and do nothing. Most of them quit after the week after training because their manager is being "racist" for making them do their work. Then when they actually do the work, it's all wrong and we have to spend an hour fixing the issue. You have your unicorns, the ones that actually have the drive to make it to management. But guess what? The ones that actually make it to management may be motivated, but they just bark and bark and bitch and bark and everyone on their team quits and bitches to HR about how this person is not fit to managed. But the manager just says they're racist and don't like having a black person as their manager. My ass.

This is fact. A buddy of mine worked as a spotter for a trucking company. Spotters move trucks and trailers around the yard and docks to prepare them for loading. Anyway, there was a quota on how many trailers you had to move in an hour, under threat of disciplinary action. There was him, one other white dude, and 6 niggers.

He and the other white dude would bust their asses to get everything done while the nigs sat in the office watching movies on their iPads. The manager, a white female, would do nothing about it and just demand that the white dudes pick up the slack.

One day, the manager comes in with her kids, all half nigger. It started to make sense. My buddy found another job a couple weeks later and moved on.

And this is why a lot of companies tank, the brain and grit drain that happens when the white people go to look for new jobs. Very common in start ups, from what I've seen.

Startups are a 2-3 year gig my friend. Make the MVP, learn the market, get some customers and sell while growing. Let your investors get out if they want for profit, go take a vacation, and do it again. You get the fun hard work without any diversity.
