Most of you see the F35 as a shitty overrated plane, but today I will try to prove to you that it's infact a good deal.
The F35 is a stealth BVR plane, it means that it's meant to fire his missiles at great ranges, the missiles it can carry ( AIM-120B/C/D) are really good.
It has a magnificent radar and it's able to use the datalink to direct missiles, this means he can fire while still hidden and the radar is off.
The RCS, is really good for what you're paying for, infact it's around 0,02 to 0.012 mm^2, much smaller than the planes in Russia's arsenal, even that shitty Pak57.
The americans have the F22 which is better than the F35 but they aren't willing to sell it to anyone, even Israel.
But considering the plane's capabiity, it's a really good plane.
Now, don't claim it's shit in a dogfight, it's not meant for it. Was the B17 a bad plane because it couldn't dogfight? No.
It created work opportunity for people smarter than you, duh.
Nicholas Walker
Most of you think of the f-4 phantom as a space age marvel. It's missiles are so good it doesn't need a Gatling gun
>yfw Gatling gun installed as phantoms were dropped by Viet migs >yfw the f-35 has a Gatling gun for when the missiles fail.
Jordan Fisher
> 1 trillion R&D budget Yeah, a great opportunity for smartasses to buy drugs, condos and whores.
Ryder Thompson
A stealth fighter with sub par dogfighting capabilities is just retarded. Okay so you have a multi-million dollar stealth fighter that can detect and shoot down planes at long range with a low chance of being detected. What happens when the enemy uses a stealth fighter? Suddenly being able to fire at long range with radar guided missiles is useless. Now you're only hope is to make visual contact and fire heatseekers. Well what happens if the other guy has the exact same idea but his plane isn't dogshit at maneuvering during a dogfight? >Mayday! Mayday! I hope they sell them all in the next 10 years because if they're still in the arsenal when the rest of the world catches up there's going to be a lot of airspace the enemy gets to control. We are talking about the airforce though and of all the branches I expect the least from them. They're so cucked they lost out on Top Gun to the fucking Navy.
Ryan Turner
It's a phantom expense and the real aircraft is black side. Screenshot this. It releases in 6 months.
Colton Martin
People assume fighter jets are for dog fights. Should be called the B35 or M35 for some Missle or long range aircraft.
Leo Lopez
Most of these niggers are retarded It's not a fighter, fighters are becoming obsolete, the air force has the shield project, 10 years every plane will have one and wont need a fighter jet This is a stealth fighter, it hits and sees the target further than the target can see it, besides we still have the v12, this was just used for some coke and condos
Michael Butler
The F35 wouldn't run straight in a dogfight, it would harass the enmy at long range with missiles, then, thanks to his stealth capability, it would run away undetected.
Enemy could even use an IRST pod, but if the missiles fail to lock they are pretty much useless.
Sebastian Morales
FLYING TOILET SELL THEM TO INDIA
Evan Nelson
So is the f-22 better?
Angel Rogers
The F-35 is a multirole combat aircraft, of course it's going to lose a one-on-one dogfight against a dedicated air superiority fighter, that's not its purpose. I think you're misunderstanding the change of doctrine the F-35 is intended to fulfil. Its job is to act as an aerial communications suite; directing UAVs, decoys and cruise missiles. >youtube.com/watch?v=TLUS3KlAAvg No matter how good these enemy stealth fighters are, they're more likely to be facing swarms of X-47s, Taranis', Phantom Rays, and firing at MALDs etc. rather than F-35s. Even so, the F-22 is the most capable fighter jet on the planet, barring your more exotic birds like the Belgian Triangle.
Dominic Moore
My expert opinion is that F-35 is a beautiful thing indeed. I'd paint mine blue or red.
I just think it's dumb to make a mid/long range bomber and not make it a drone
Andrew Sanders
You can't be stealthy with BVR because you need your radar on. If your radar is on, you are no longer stealthy.
I don't know what datalink would mean in the context of stealth - because BVR missiles require your radar to be on.
Unless of course you datalink with AWACS and use its radar instead. But of course anti-AWACS missile tech is around the corner.
Jacob Bennett
Anti-Awacs missiles are kinda already out here, for example the AIM-54C or the russian R-33 have ranges of more than 120KM, but they are easy to deal with.
An AWACs with good ECM systems could easily avoid one.
Ethan Lewis
It's going to die when Turkey gets kicked out of NATO
Tyler Hill
It's shit. Not going to read your ad vertisement.
Gavin Ward
How much is Lockheed-Marstein paying you, Enzo?
Gabriel Lewis
And while the AWACS are evading, its not providing radar datalink to the F35s. Leaving the F35s to fend for itself.
Parker Wright
The situation wouldn't be that simple, first you would have to detect the incoming planes, AWACs have ranges of hundred of KMs, the F35 would scramble and shoot down the plane before it can fire.
Else, if the AWACs detected a missile inbound and had to go defensive, the F35s could just switch on their radars (even only one) and assume the role of temporary AWACs.
Ayden Hill
>What happens when the enemy uses a stealth fighter? >America ever getting in a war against an country whose airforce isn't at least 2 generations behind
Long range missiles need costant adjustments during their flight, the plane would have to keep the AWACS locked until the missiles goes pitbull.
Evan Murphy
>It's overpriced jewshit. ftfy
David Evans
Well, it sure looks cool.
Jace Anderson
>Should be called the B35 or M35 Attack craft typically have an A, like the A-10, A-6 etc. The F-117 stealth should have been the A-117. I have heard people speculate they gave it the F name to confuse enemies as to its true role when it was still top secret. The F-35 should be the A-35.
Jayden Rogers
WHY ONLY ISRAEL CAN CUSTOMIZE AMERICA'S F-35 (AT LEAST FOR NOW)-so they can't be hijacked to malfunction...
Its quite possibly the biggest boondoghle in human history. We could have built a desal plant every three miles up the coast of California or put the entire country on safe modern nuclear and solved the energy crisis and put a massive dent in climate change or rebuilt every single at risk bridge or public structure for the same money.
No wonder China is kicking our ass, they put money into public works and growing real business instead of corporate welfare
Ian Bell
Because Israelis know that it's a trojan horse otherwise. That's why Europe will keep using Rafale and Eurofighter while banding together to develop FCAS.
>stealth There's a pretty good chance that hypersonic flight is already mastered and stealth tech is already outdated. Some people speculate that the US, China and Russia figured out hypersonic flight a decade ago but nobody has shown their cards yet for obvious reasons.
Ryder Lewis
Russian propaganda would have us believe that it is, of course if they can kill it in committee before they are delivered it would be a great victory for the technological underdog.
Remove Russia from that list, they can barely afford to keep their old jets running, mind creating new tech.
Hypersonic weapons are pretty much garbage on paper, the fact that they go fast isn't enough to compensate the cons.
Jaxon Myers
Fighters became overpriced shit the day people invented guided missiles.
Jordan Williams
Need a man on the trigger so to speak
Henry Ramirez
my paper airplanes don't crash
Jose Jenkins
Your the user who deeply believes nations have fully developed hypersonic tech and are hiding it for “reasons”?
Jose Stewart
Depends on the mission, operating costs vs minimum capablities required.
Henry Hernandez
Since when does global powers show their cards with shit like this? The US public didn't know much about the B-2 or Blackbird for years after they were already in the skies.
We still don't know what the fuck the X-37b's is being used for. We also know China has been developing hyper sonic shit but nobody has seen anything.
Kevin Clark
If anyone benefits for the perception that the US armed forces are weak, it is the US amred forces. Get the people scared and spending
>1960s tech required gun pods >this applies to 2019 This argument is so pol.
Logan Diaz
We can't even make F-22s any more because the kikes in Congress ordered the tools destroyed. The F-35 is a flying hunk of shit that will cost us a war in the near future.
Joshua Rogers
Nice Lockheed shill thread
>F35 >Most expensive military program in military history >Not a fighter air vehicle, see f22 >Due to RCS requirements, insufficient loadout to perform A-designation role >hideously expensive to operate on a per hour basis >low flight hours before maintenance >literally unsupportable due to Lockheed's logistics software
It literally serves not role other than being a low RCS plane
James Price
Aviationfag here.
What's important is the fact that the F-35 is a flying comms hub, they don't necessarily need direct radar to get a solid lock on a target, they are being beamed information from a minimum of 3 military satellites which helps paint a live 3D picture of the enemy, once it's in close enough range, the flight guidance system is handed over to the missile's own tiny radar and it closes in for the hard kill.
Elijah Perry
Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. How's that for an argument, chump?
>>yfw the f-35 has a Gatling gun for when the missiles fail. only the air force version has the gun installed internally. The rest use stealth gunpods for air to surface support if the mission needs it.
Nathan Ramirez
tl;dr we should be exploring space
Dominic Reed
It’s not one. It’s a fortune cookie level saying. The idea that history repeats itself is one of the dumbest concepts that came from the Marxist camp.
James Murphy
Canadian next fighter offered at the end of this year. In the running are
> F35 > Super Hornet > Eurofighter > Gripen
The first two can be wrote off - F35 is political poison up here because of the $ cost, and the Super Hornet is produced by Boeing who fucked over Bombardier.
That leaves Gripen and the Typhoon. Which will it be? Airbus and Bombardier have a close relationship now so there is potential to produce them in Canada.
Alexander Rivera
>good deal Assuming your points are correct, none of them can justify the amount of money spent on this fucking plane. It is just another scam to funnel more money into the defense industry. An aircraft like this will never serve in any significant capacity other than dick waving. Basically what said. In any case, the days of winning wars in a traditional sense are long gone. It's all about creating perpetual states of instability by funding and supplying third world proxy forces. Explain how the F-35 will contribute anything of value in the current state of warfare, even in a hypothetical muh Russia or China scenario if that's all you can come up with.
>The F-22 is the best fighter on the planet Agreed, for now. Wait until UCAV come onto the scene and are capable of pulling >9g sustained maneuvers.
Jonathan Green
Okay, well, then have fun losing air battles in a really expensive way.
Oliver Cook
>That leaves Gripen and the Typhoon we're not that gay it's gonna be the super hornet and enough f35s to not piss off sam. and if we're talking north american air defence, let's also build a bunch of those latest f15s on the cheap please.
>it's gonna be the super hornet Are we fuck going to buy Boeing.
Kevin Hughes
that's like saying are we gonna shop at walmart
Zachary Long
Holy shit. A knowledgeable guinea. Color me impressed.
Zachary Anderson
Isn't the whole point of the F35 that it's an amazing computer and radar, with a subpar plane attached to it?
Brandon Peterson
First it was awacs, now it's satellites, will they have God whispering into their ears next?
>"Yeah, that cunt took my name in vain."
Ryan Martinez
This, some parts are being made in Erdogan's shed. When USrael refuses Turkey the F-35 he'll rage quit and is going to buy Russian stuff.
Jack Martinez
To be this committed to a bad argument is impressive.
Brandon Wright
I am pretty sure they are just playing Washington and Moscow off of each other to get the best deal.
Eli Anderson
I don't know, why did the US refuse to supply the Patriot system?
John Jackson
For the price it should be able to transform into a walking robot.
Owen Johnson
For this price it should have a coating that doesn't wash off in rain like with the F-22.
Daniel Fisher
So are drones and 1000x cheaper, argument discarded
>into the trash it goes
Tyler Hill
This is why I say that the USA is already a socialist regime, it just happens to be one that doesn't happen to like its citizens
Thomas Roberts
>The F35 is a stealth BVR plane, it means that it's meant to fire his missiles at great ranges, the missiles it can carry ( AIM-120B/C/D) are really good. >It has a magnificent radar and it's able to use the datalink to direct missiles, this means he can fire while still hidden and the radar is off.
None of that should cost 10 trillion dollars, rabbi
Aaron Jones
like this hasn't been common knowledge for at least 10 years. if you live near an air force or navy base and look up at the sky on clear nights there's a 50% chance you've seen a TR3B
Colton Thompson
so this is what hit the Pentagon, huh.
Oliver Davis
Yeah unless you've seen it fly you cant talk shit. Its fucking impressive
Levi Young
i can't believe people haven't realized that the entire human race could be fed, clothed, sheltered, and educated for half the money we spend on developing pointless weapons and maintaining useless overseas military bases.
the coming awakening will be quite painless because all it will entail is a simple awakening to the truth that war is outdated. once technology is advanced enough, it's pointless to try to blow each other up.
Kayden Carter
Fuck humans. We want war planes. Brrrrrrrrrt
Ian Ortiz
The amount of pollution and environmental destruction the world's militaries get away with is absolutely criminal. It would be one thing if they actually fought each other total war style and we had half a billion population reduction and end up with new cutting edge advancements that actually make it to the public. Instead all you have is a ton of giant barges shitting up the ocean not killing anything except marine animals while cocksuckers in the US government are telling me my shitty old Delorean is destroying their planet
Wyatt Gutierrez
Brrrrrrraaaaaaaaappppppp
Chase Martin
F35 being a shit plane is a perfect example of a psyop in action. Btw the actual cost of each plane is $135million You will never believe where the rest of the money goes...
Chase Wood
>The americans have the F22 which is better than the F35 that's the point idiot
Ayden Perry
No plane is going to out maneuver the F35. Sorry just not going to happen. Who cares what it costs..not like we Americans have any say in what our tax dollars go to. That plane is bad ass and all of 3rd world countries should be scared as fuck
Levi Brown
seattle? underrated post
Landon Scott
>Truth about the F35
The truth is that your government cancel the order because they are crap.
Cameron Harris
The other thing people aren't realizing is it can essentially be the targeting for other peoples missiles.
All you need is a cargo plane as missile truck near by firing an endless barrage of missiles.
All those sensors aren't there for no reason. Range on AA/AGM these days is crazy. 35s are an adhoc network of somebody getting F'd in the A.
Juan Richardson
Work on cleaning all the human shit of your sidewalks
Cameron Baker
Because linking up a Russian system and a US system would be a huge security risk.
Leo Lewis
Off
Nathaniel Butler
>"Stealth" >Over reliance on missile techm ignoring potential for counter measures either current or future >Slower and larger than the plane it's supposed to replace >Repeating the same mistakes of the F4
F35 is the definition of a sitting duck.
Gabriel Myers
The F35 could knock Kangarooland off the map in 30 minutes..go put that on your barbie.
Landon Wright
What? I thought they bought the Russian system after the refusal.
