I have tried no fap and all that, it still does not really do anything. That said, I should also add that there isn't really anything wrong with porn. I once did a 1,5 month long course and could not masturbate because I was in close quarters with other men and women. I can go a while without watching porn and it doesn't really affect me one way or another. I don't get angry/frustrated nor am I some super confident casanova.
Here's my opinion on NoFap: if you want to do it for personal reasons such as discipline, religion or because you think porn is bad for women go for it. In fact, I would support some people in that. However, I don't think there is any real benefit to it the way people claim. The whole "Factory settings" or whatever doesn't really work. I just found that when I stopped jerking off, it just felt better when I did jerk off after not doing so for a while.
