Early implementations are pointing towards cancer and other horrific results.
However, you have situations where GMO plants can be grown in the most inhospitable and baron lands.
Say a person many years late finds out they have cancer when they're 40, but originally without the GMOs they were expected to live until 10 years old.
I don't think research and development should stop just because we haven't got it right yet.
Its important work and unfortunately we're going to have casualties along the way.
