Nowadays southerners couldn't give less of a fuck about the slavery issue. They just see the fruits of the federal dominance and the progressive era that followed the end of the civil war up to the great depression. The middle class whites couldnt afford slaves if they wanted them, and slaves also reduced the amount of jobs for free whites. They would have zero increntive to protect the right to own slaves. The bigger issue was the concept of being beholden to the central government, and the protection of their own homelands in which the majority of the war was fought.

In Alabama there was the free state of Winston that had very few slaves and saw it as a war for the aristocrats. They were correct. The aristocrats, who were the writers of the papers of succession were more interested in the protection of their own interests rather than the people of their state. I think that they used the peoples desire for self determination at a state level as a populist tool to protect their own capitalist ventures, such as all of the human capital that they owned. In most cases they placed the right to own slaves at the top of the papers of succession. Another cause for war was the Moril tariffs that essentially moved money from the jews in the south to the jews in the north.

The Civil war was a war of Northern Jews against Southern Jews. They both presided over armies of Goyim, both of which had their merrit. The northerners altruism were clearly used to demonize the white southerners (even to this day), and the southerners defense of their homes were used to defend the garbage institution of slavery under the guise of their inalienable rights.
