My landline ISP uses ZTE for fiber optics. Huawei for 4G phone services and satellite TV. They've been doing this for the past 15 years. If I'd change to another provider they would be exactly the same.
All I can do is use opensource wherever possible, not use the ISP's DNS servers, use 2 step verification everywhere I login, don't buy with credit card online and ask for sms messages/email in case of a purchase.
