The system could be alright (it would weed out undesirables and welfare leeches from the normal citizenry).
Imagine renting your apartment/house and being able to check people's social credit (X person has low social credit due to being uncivic/loud, always late paying the rent,etc. While Y person has high social credit so you rent it to that person and probably other tenants will do the same so the whole building will be of good citizens). This was done naturally by society. When people knew each other in the neighbourhoods and towns and people were more connected and wary of the foreigner.
Obviously, this system could easely be abused by both the people (reporting people you don't like or make them lose points somehow giving them bad rep) and the Goverment (forcing you to pay taxes or impose a way of thinking OR ELSE!).

Nah, it's fucking retarded. Don’t hand out welfare to leeches and make it so people that don’t pay rent or pay rent late are kicked out if they are habitual offenders. This “big brother is watching you” bullshit is the most Chinese bugman you could possibly get, the reason they are implementing systems like this in that shithole is due to their communist heritage and how their entire mentality has been fucked ever since the mongols and ching-chong dynasties that fucked them over.
Social credit systems like this WILL be abused, and if modern history has learned you anything it means that white Europeans will pay the highest price (like we’ve always done). It will only serve to further restrict what you’re allowed to do and say, all of the ghetto-fiends and other retards won’t give a fuck about their rating while you’re desperately trying to hold on to goodboy point in fear that traffic violations might land you in a ghetto.
