Just about every real greek has some maniot in them due to historic circumstances. It's funny though, I'll blindly accept Arvanites, never question they're Greek, and we know their backstory, but tell me to accept Pontics as Greek and from my personal experience with them, I can't stomach it one bit, they're a lot different than us, and a lot dumber.

Actually no, they were orthodox and majority of them were bilingual from the get go, it was basically an Albanian merchant class and some shepards that fled to Greece for safety in numbers with their orthodox brethren as Albanians were converting to Islam in droves at the time.
