communism is inherently a more inclusive ideology which means it can get the support of a larger base of people and thus have larger armies and cohesion fighting for a central goal. Only actual exclusionary practice commies practice is hating bourgeoisie but it doesn't matter because they make up barely any of the population. With more people also comes more tech development as they have a massive pool upon which they can draw scientists, generals and planners (even though most people are stupid but the sheer number means you will get more outliers in the group). Problem with fascism and by extension nazism in it's racial form is that the group just gets smaller and smaller as they purity spiral about who is what rae or who is truly this nationality or whatever thus shrinking their potential manpower for armies, scientists, generals etc.

I'm not communist and I would prefer that neither of these groups ever took power but when push comes to shove and when centrist stable polities begin to collapse and foster left and right wing extremism, most of the time commies end up winning for the reasons outlined earlier.

Nazis could have won fairly easily if they had coopted the slavs in the areas they occupied, treated them like well and drafted them as soldiers with some kind of excuse like "we liberated you brothers now come fight against your opressors the USSR" but instead they chose to treat them like dogs and exterminate them prompting the slavs to form guerilla groups hindering nazi supply lines into russia and actually bolstering slavic support for thte USSR whereas previously most countries on the periphery that were occupied by the USSR saw them as tyrant oppressors.
