I'm very straight edge now but when I was growing up I did a lot of drugs and I regret all of them except mushrooms. I only did them once and I would probably never do them again because I had such a fun time that I don't even want to mar the experience. All I did was drive out into the woods with a couple friends and we stared at the trees for 6 hours. My jaws hurt for days from laughing so much and I remember having a sort of microscopic vision where I could see the finest details of the tree bark and the paint of the car. It was all beautiful.

Shrooms only work for so long. I have taken 4g with zero tolerance with minimal effects. A pharmacology clinic will not overdose anybody unless they are unknowingly sensitive to a small dose. Those chances are significantly higher only for first timer users/intolerant users, but not everybody.

I would have been in favor of it before
1.) weed was legalized in my state and my usage went THROUGH THE ROOF because I knew I would have no problems getting more (having to get it illicitly was always in the back of my mind as an obstacle, so I self-regulated my use better)
2.) after years of growing and using mushrooms. they're a spiritual dead-end. that is, they make you think that you're learning/experiencing/growing but you're really just remaining stagnant.
3.) as in 1., i imagine that the ease of getting them will put more and more people in position 2.

Mushrooms and LSD are different from most drugs. You have to really take them to understand. Taking them is more like having a new exciting experience that nothing else can replicate, rather then something that acts like a quick fix for the weak minded. I suggest trying them at least once. They are a fascinating thing to indulge in. I have no idea how someone could take them more then once every few months though. They are very different then any other drug I've ever taken.
