You can't blame gaming, pop culture, social media, drugs, etc. when all of that shit is just as present in Europe, yet we don't have a school shooting every day.
We had a drill at a tech college, we were informed ahead of time. Alarm sounds. I got into the shop and grab all the bigass hammers, leaving a couple on every table. People laugh, i take two hammers. T.A. was in the bathroom, knocks on door. Still laughing - 'dont let him in'. I shrug and wave him off for lulz, but open door a few sec later. Everyone gets on phones, so i take biggest hammer and a deflection baton.
The only girl asks, "so you think you'll stop a shooter with hammer? LOL" nah m8, I'll probably get shot bashing his skull in, but when I survive you'll need to put pressure on the wound while I disassemble the gun and search the body for anything else I'm going to claim. There was a marine in the back always kept to himself, we started hangin out, helped him bang out some extra certs.
