What is a good BPA free methycrylate free material for resin and fillings?
Dentist and dentistry knowledgeable anons
Molten glass
Just get implants you poor fag
fuck off
baltic cum
Gold of course. Mostly gold anyways, in an alloy.
Just get the UV shit they use at the dentists office from ebay and a UV light to cure it. If you die from forcing an infection deeper its your own fault tho
I got a filling once and now I suck COCK.
is that the same as glass ionomer?
this unfortunately
oh shit I know an excellent dentist that prefers to only do gold
what about ceramic? oh wait those are crowns...
thats called composite
You said resin its a resin
Glass ionomer release fluoride.
Shhhhhhh mods are asleep we’re all leaving for new pol

I know senpai, but what did he mean by molten glass?
yea you're right but i'm not OP
flame treated fecal matter
My bad I expected to get into an argument with a faggot op like every other thread so I didn't even look. Apologies good sir.
I could use this post as a night light
yea it is so bright it also has a humming sound
Molten glass = lithium disilicate.
A material sold as “Ips.Emax” which is a ceramic glass that closely resembles tooth and is used for crowns and veneers and inlays/onlays. It can be used for small fillings too. Typically costs 1000-1700 a pop in the US. Costs the dentist like 50 a pop.
“Composite” filling aka “white filling” is a sand like material bound and fused with plastic resin that contains BPA—and possibly leaches BPA throughout the lifetime of the filling.
The traditional silver-mercury fillings. I have those in some places. Chromium teeth in front, copper-stainless steel alloy in the back. Those plastic ceramics don't last more than 5-6 years generally.
Teeth heal themselves if you can control bad bacteria. Pretty sure dentists can apply rapid healing stuff too. Novamin was bought rights to a few years Ago. Try finding toothpaste with Novamin above 1% now
Those definitely leech mercury vapor.

Hm, never heard of this? Have you experienced cavities yourself?
i wanted old school silver but they didn't have it
Emax isn’t plastic but it is ceramic glass. It has 97% survival at 10 years and can last a lifetime. Zirconia is also ceramic (ZrO2) and lasts even longer on average. Gold lasts forever.
so composite makes people tranners? fuck....
Yes. It is a major source of BPA pollutants in the body, especially since anything in the mouth is readily absorbed by the mucous membranes and capillary vessels. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
You could possibly find composite fillings that don’t release BPA, but these are rare and mostly sold in other countries.
Yeah but what if I have a few cavities? I should just kill the tooth?
the excellent dentist I know...?
he only does gold inlays for cavities and he prefers to do crowns/implants when he can't do gold inlays
he's a germophobe and even though I'm not a dentist he is pretty good.
Gold is great but I’m worried about aesthetics for some teeth. What Does this dentist you know think about this? Is the aesthetic factor over analyses? Gold does look cool actually.
Also flossing with Glide is problematic. I use natural silk thread or bamboo thread now. usatoday.com
>Teeth heal themselves if you can control bad bacteria.
This is half true, it depends on what you mean by heal. You can strengthen enamel with shit but you are not going to grow any tooth back or repair a cavity, Once you have the hole, no matter how much you clean it you will have that hole.
Oh and problem with Lithium disilicate and zirconium is that both induce cytotoxosis in healthy cells nearby. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
OP here.
My research shows that only gold is safe for any dental restoration. If you must get an implant, it should be zirconium with gold crown.
But this is what gold crowns look like.
Front teeth.
Just get the implant and you never have to worry about that tooth again. They take just as long as having a cavity filled. You can even get different screw on teeth, like a gold one.
Gold is not even that expensive compared to ceramic restoration (which already costs 1000+ a tooth). Also must use pure gold, not a cadmium aluminum alloy.
Interesting. I might end up doing this. I have root canal teeth that need some work, and some people say the roots always stay infected.
I didn’t know you could get gold screw, that’s interesting.
arent they stupidly expensive? i got dentures for a few of my top teeth from a biking accident
The Weston Price people claim to remineralize teeth but I don’t know if that is credible. You must eat a strict ancestral diet they say.
They are expensive, true. But it can be worth it since they typically last for a lifetime. 3-7k per tooth I’ve seen. You could always go to turkey or somewhere with dental tourism to do it for cheaper some people on YouTube say it’s great.
Also with lithium disilicate I always wondered if it leeches lithium, it’s not supposed to but neither was amalgram mercury silver supposed to leech mercury.
here they are R10k a tooth. thats ridiculously expensive, since med insurance doesnt cover it
There can be problems with the pink material on the dentures too. What material are your dentures? Also that sucks I’m sorry, how are you doing generally living with dentures? Is it ok? Annoying? Just another thing?
i dont wear them around the house i cant get use to them, when im out i always know they are there, very annoying. would love implants but the cost is unrealistic, for me atleast
Most dental restorations are a harm/benefit calculation. There is no replacement for tooth enamel. Gold is the safest material but this has the cost of losing aesthetic natural look.
You can "re-mineralize teeth" and strengthen enamel. A fluoride rinse or even fluoride in toothpaste will do that as well(as much as Jow Forums hates it). White spots on teeth are caused by de-mineralization/weakening of enamel, a lot of times you see it on the bottom of the two front teeth. but like I said it isn't going to "heal" a hole or anything like that. Depending on how far the cavity goes it could be impossible to keep the area clean to prevent further decay.
Fluoride is ok but natural remineralization is what the Weston price people claim, with heavy natural calcium, vitamin k, vitamin D, and avoiding any inflammation causing food, and eating lots of fermented foods to help the immune system. This is based on Dr Price (a dentist and amateur anthropologist) who studied the teeth of hunter gatherer groups who have perfect teeth naturally(they really do actually).
This isn’t madeup btw.
Pre agriculture hunter gatherer groups in the fossil record also have perfect teeth with little to no decay, mostly no decay.
Some blunt trauma but perfect oral health otherwise.
Fluoride competes with calcium for reminineralization and it can cause enamel to become more brittle, also waxy in a way natural enamel isn’t. I think it looks bad and could contribute to tooth loss down the line. Also fluorosis is a thing, causing dental stains that can never be removed. It is very common. Here is a benign case, but it can look far worse.
So flouride literally binds to the enamel (which is mostly calcium phosphate mineral) taking the place of calcium in the interlocking chains. It has the effect of preventing erosion but it has different tensile properties than calcium phosphate (and aesthetic).
In my opinion fluoride should not be used or consumed by children younger than 6 and should only be used topically with an end to water fluoridation.
As far as I know, unless there's been new research that says differently, plaque requires carbohydrates to form on teeth, I could see people that have a diet low in carbs and a regular diet of vegetables that help scrape the teeth having low rates of decay, also different bacteria in the mouth could contribute to it as well. I don't know what exactly you are trying to imply, flouride is causing people to have worse teeth now? Modern diet is causing higher rates of decay?(((Dentists))) are purposefully sabotaging teeth to cause decay?
