Since the majority of serial killer victims are intra-racial, meaning they share the race with the killer; White serial killers mainly kill white people and black serial killers kill black people. The american media typically only reports violence occuring against white women specifically and blows it up to a huge story, you barely hear anything about black women being killed. As a result the more famous serial killers tend to be White, while black serial killers barely get any limelight unless they act in a public manner, like the washington sniper.
