Should I vote NPD or AFD in EU elections? I agree more with the NPD but I worry about them not getting over the 1 seat hurdle due to many people switching to AfD and my vote being wasted.

Just did some digging and found something interesting. For a small party to get their first seat, they need ~0.5%. To get any additional seats they need to get to 1.5% , 2.5% etc. So it is easier for a small party to get their first seat than for larger parties to gain an additional seat. So an NPD vote could potentially have twice the impact.

In 2014 hatte sie 1.0% und da gab es die AfD schon. Es macht strategisch mehr Sinn NPD zu wählen um sie von 0.4% auf 0.5% zu bringen als AfD zu wählen, die sonst wo zwischen zB 10.6% und 11.4% sein könnte ohne einen Unterschied in Sitzen zu haben. Wenn ich AfD wähle wenn sie 10.6% hat ist die Stimme genauso weggeworfen.
