Why do americans are different from the rest of west?
Because they are retards
>*Why do americans have different units than the rest of the world?
has historic reasons.
because it's a 2x4 not a fucking 5.08x10.16
deal with it.
I dunno, why did they put a man on the moon and the rest of us haven't?
>t. Seething incels.
Man, you guys are completely obsessed. Maybe one day when you grow up and stop being virgins you can focus on your on irrelevant shitholes.
Peace out eurotrash.
Nah, it's a 1 and 5/8 by 3 and 1/3.
tfw canadian and stuck between using both constantly
>wooden particleboard shitbox
never buy a home that isn't brick
Nobody put a man on the moon.
>having fine precision is bad
okay leaf
The metric system is autistic. Prove me wrong.
Why do euros pretend they don't use imperial units. You guys seem to know a lot about this "foreign" system of measure.
You should be executed for denying Aryan achievements. Outer space is white people shit, that's where we distance ourselves from shitskins. Believe in the moon landings, be proud of your people.
what level of idiocy is this? 1.5x2.5 fine but what the fuck is that? 3 and 1/3?
fine me a tape measure with .16 mm
i can find a billion with .25"
Because amerimutts are globalists at everything but measure.
That's how retarded they are.
>Why do americans are different from the rest of west?
We use our system because dumb Italians can't understand it.
You just won the internet.
Because of Herman scientists and European measurements, when they tried it the American way people died because of mistakes caused by their retarded system.
The more you know, cunt.
*1,5 x 3.5
We’re not snobs.
We’re just better than you.
Becauae fuck you.
But also becuase imperial measurements work better for everyday activities
Our science and engineering still uses metric

No wonder your people are being replaced
The imperial system is retarded. Same with Fahrenheit. Not to mention their 12 hour system AM/PM. It's as if Americans just feel a deep urge to be defiant. It's weird that they didn't choose to drive in the middle of the road instead of Left or Right, just to be defiant there as well.
Fractions are more precise
canada fag here. also trade fag. i like inches on my tape measure instead of cm. unless i am autistically laying out a lightning grid patern in a commercial building. then i use cms.
>But also becuase imperial measurements work better for everyday activities
That's a myth repeated by retards.
For a yard or a meter you both need a learned mental image of length, the same goes for feet and inches and centimetres.
Getting one isn't difficult, you retards just need to learn more for no reason.
Why do the rest of the west aren't have gone to the moonplace?
Same goes for their power output.. 110 volts. They just want to be 100% different somehow.
Neither has the US.
>Murican cursive
I don't care about materials because my house being bigger than my neighbor's is all than matters. If you don't like that then starve to death at a North Korean gulag.
Americans are mutts when you hate them , but white europeans when you want to leech off our accomplishments kek.
WE WUZ
>measuring with fingers is more precise than measuring with a ruler
stop drinking sòy leaf
Because the scientific community in the US uses the metric system anyway so it barely affects us to be batshit retarded with our measurements.
I never mentioned you being either, learn to read, nigger.
>Our science and engineering still uses metric
what is a thou
That's not American, that's the standard in most Latin languages. Including Danish. You don't have that in Poland? If not, it's probably because you have so many weird accents and a couple of different letters that it'd be to more inconvenience than help.
>west
Nigger. Look at a fucking map. America IS the west. You eurofaggots are westcels and this is the final redpill. And those who swallow it are called true and faithful.
Cope. Seething cope.
Cause we didnt want to be european!
Fuck off, kike.
>moon landing was fake
haha oh eurotrash, when will you learn
More like, why did the rest of the planet switch to Metric after the French faggots did?
Isn't the 'murican system a british one?
>height
In metric meters are too big and centimeters are too small
>distance
The average man can walk a mile in about 15 minutes and run it in about 7 or 8 minutes. Kilometers are laughably short and make no sense. And for moving quickly? It’s just idiotic
>temperature
Don’t even get me started Celsius is not gradient enough for hoirnevery day life, you can tell the difference between 74, 76, 78 etc Celsius measurements are inaccurate for a humans physical interpretation of heat.
Etc etc
Why do you fucking care, we use metric on things where it works and imperial on things where it works, why do you want us to to be forced into using all metric all the time? Fucking autistic pathological krauts
Do you seriously write a g like that?
because boomers 100% think its better. If i say anything about changing to metric my father actually gets upset.
?
Based and jewpilled
We don't really use handwriting anymore, like most other places. But yes, back when I was a kid, we were taught cursive writing like that.
I'll return that, Mutt.
We know and learn both but unless you work in science and engineering most of us drop metric post high school
If you didn’t learn metric as a kid it’s because you are probably at a nigger school
Wrong, Hans. The problem was one team used metric while the other used imperial.
Every "point" you made is stupidly subjective or wrong.
I also never wrote anything about forcing you, I was telling somebody that he was a retard with an impractical system.
I'll go play some video games now, have fun being incredibly insecure about a system of measurement of all things.
>110 volts
kek
Actually is a Roman system
based kike. you get gassed last
Yeah it's the imperial one. But britons, who invented it, switched to metric because the knew basing measurment on King's dick lenght was moronic.
We write capital coursive G very differently
It actually doesn’t matter. Performance of both systems is very similar once learned.
In imperial it’s easier to spot a mixed up conversion because the whole number is off, but in metric it’s just more or less 0’s so it’s just as mistake prone because it’s harder to spot a mistake.
I’m an engineer and design is really all that gives a damn about which one as long as it’s consistent. Most of you have never designed anything and you’re just butthurt that you have to learn anything at all.
Metric is no doubt easier to memorize so it’s better for the stupid masses.
Units are completely arbitrary and mean nothing.
Only tardbabbies will get hung up on it. The rest moved on to doing real work with what we got.
It's the same thing as getting hung up on a single letter in the alphabet while the rest of us who aren't sperging are writing essays despite it. You can tell who really doesn't have any clue in life because they self cuck like this all over the place. It's a highly selfish attitude of "I can't move on unless everything is perfect first." Wrong answer.
110 has its upsides you know? We used to have it too until late 50ies.
>Performance of both systems is very similar once learned.
Dealing with btus and energy units is fucking horrible.
Still live better than a europoor in a chicken coop apartment
Ahhh
Well we like our system the way it is so fuck of you pandantic wurst eating German faggot
Somewhat like this right?
Is this better?
Ever wonder why Americans...created the Internet...created the light bulb...created the telephone...first to harness the energy of an atom...first to use that energy on an enemy...create the world's fastest aircraft...create the space shuttle...shall I continue? Americans are innovators and do things differently because the old ways are of the old world.
At least the US isn't half in and half out like the UK is. It's weird as shit. Pick a side.
What are the pros?
thousand of an inch
>what are si units?
We only use imperial units for non-science stuff and it is legacy shit from england.
Oh yeah, I forgot about NASA. Those fuck's are legitimately retarded and their diversity hiring isn't helping.
>>fine me a tape measure with .16 mm
>tape measure
>0.16mm
Are you trying to measure your penis?
you are actually more correct than you realize. defiance is near the ehart of classical american culture. I mean fuck, a reasonable arguement could be made that armed revolution against the government is legal if the government has become untenable based on our founding documents.
>thousand of an inch
Thousandth
It’s just a historical thing. Most people in technical fields use the metric exclusively.
In a 3 phase system you can still get 220 out of it, but in a 220 you can't get 110.
your arguments are dumb. I don't even know how to address your bullshit claims about cm, meter and km being awkward since this is entirely subjective. if you started using them such as from childhood they would be comfortable and since you don't you think they are uncomfortable. the temperature examples you gave had spaces of 2 degrees F which is.......very close to one degree C so again bad examples since you're basically saying 1C is a good interval.
imperial is much more infuriating in STEM. for example converting from torque (ft-lb) to power (horsepower) to then trying to figure out your power draw (amps) is irritating with all the conversion factors you have to look up. in metric there are no conversion factors or at worst it involves an easily remembered power to 10
t. american
Because it's what we used. We still use foot and inch when describing people. Miles and occasionally yards/feet/inches for distance depending on what's easier to understand.
aren't all your motorways in miles?
We absolutely are, like most things Europeans have no idea what America is actually like
Our science and math all uses metric from the time you are a kid but we use imperial for just normal activity
Imperial is better for construction. If I need a 33 1/4” wide window that’s way easier than a fucking 84.455cm.
We use metric for stem shitstain if you want to run around like a fag exlaiming distancec speed and length in metric knock yourself out nerd
>In a 3 phase system you can still get 220 out of it, but in a 220 you can't get 110
yes you can. using a center-tapped transformer you get two legs with 110V each which is exactly how it is done for most American houses. the 220 itself is also present in some American homes although usually only in the garage area for the purposes of power the washing machine/drier
Precisely!
Interesting
What was easier to measure back in the day, 1 inch, or 1cm?
Op is a faggot
You can't get a lower tension in a system than you line tension. If it comes in 3 lines each with 220V, you can't get 110V out of it. You can only get 220V and 380V, that nobody uses. In 125V, you can get 125V and 220V.
I know both. Even the retarded British Imperial.
Lol that's how I built my shed, same material and everything. That's funny people are actually paying hundreds of thousands of dollars to have a home built like a fucking shed.
Pros:
>less isolation needed
>less chance of electocution
>connectors cheaper
>easier to switch
>more current
>no need to alternate for transport
Cons:
>double current (A) means 4x dispersion
>need bigger cables (more copper)
Also, what says is correct
anyone that isnt a nigger uses both interchangeably when useful.
We just do 90cm windows and doors (standard)
>tension
in romance languages tension or presion is used but in english we use voltage
you can absolutely get 220V or 110V or theoretically any value you want with a transformer. and I'm telling you as an American that this is exactly what happens and quite a lot of American houses have 220V in the garage.
also I'm an electrical engineer. I'm very certain I know what I'm talking about here.
In Italy any industrial machinery is 380v powered
>It's weird that they didn't choose to drive in the middle of the road
You've clearly never been to America. Half of us do.
Also your country's stoplight system where green means it might be safe to go but some cunt can still ram into the side of you is retarded, and actually makes your incessant roundabouts seem slightly less retarded than they truly are.
I'm no technic at all, my mum is, tell me if I mistook something.
>you want with a transformer
No shit nigger! I thought it was implicit I was talking about without using transformers.
Yeah, we use them here, mostly on induction motors in delta connection.
