It's fucking stupid how expensive it is to drive now in the UK.
>2000£ for insurance on average per year >1000£ for a decent cuck car which won't brake >Road tax 400£ per year >Fuel 700£ per year >Repair new types etc 500£
Fuck yeah I have 3 vehicles 1988 chevy suburban 1998 lincoln mark viii 2002 ford expedition My car insurance is 120 bucks a month. Gas is expensive but oh well.
Jayden Wilson
Lessons are now come from £18 a lesson in 2010 to £25 an hour in 2019.
You wait 1 month or more for a £72 driving test which you might fail, so you respend £72, wait another month, spend more on lesson in between that.
You might fail your theory £20-30 (forgot), wait 2 weeks, respend etc.
20-40 lessons = £500-750
You gotta buy the car. Then top it every week or every 3 days depending on your mileage. Full tank = £67 (average).
Insurance for new drivers , average = £2000+ a year.
MOT , tax as well.
Yeah takes the fucking piss OP, that's why i can't be assed finishing my lessons. I've passed theory twice and i'm set to let me second theory expire soon.
Cameron Richardson
Of course I drive. I'm American. Gas, oh, sorry, petrol, is $2.25 a gallon (£0.45/liter) here. That's preposterously high. My insurance is about $1100/yr (£850) for full coverage. I don't know what road tax is but I agree with you. Driving is getting a bit expensive.
Nolan Bennett
£ for a decent cuck car which won't brake You can get a decent car for that much?
Colton Ward
>2000£ for insurance on average per year The first year if you're like 17 then maybe. I pay £300 >1000£ for a decent cuck car which won't brake That's not a lot of money. But you can get decent first cars for 500 quid >Road tax 400£ per year My tax is 112 and I drive a 1.9l diesel >Fuel 700£ per year Well depends how far you drive and how you drive your car doesnt it? >Repair new types etc 500£ Now this is how I know your a moron. Buy a a car that doesn't need much if any work. Check the service history. I just got a cambelt fitted. You do this every ten years or 100,000 miles. It cost me £220. You can get fit for purpose second hand tyres which last a couple years for 50 a set.
Angsty 17 year old detected.
Jack Cruz
>lease a 1.2ltr standard car £200 quid a month = £2200 a year >insurance after 3 years no claims £70 a month = £840 >road tax is £120 for the year >total £3140 a year without gas which is still better than being charged £5.00 to travel 10 fucking miles on public transport everyday to work while sitting next to a bunch of smack heads for an hour+ a day.
Alexander Diaz
How the fuck are you going through a tank in 3 days consistently?? Most standard cars after 2005 can get 50mpg. Are you planning on driving 200miles a day??
Logan Evans
underrated
Aiden Torres
>The first year if you're like 17 then maybe.I pay £300 Insurance has many factors. Area, where you park. etc.
The whole it's cheaper after your 25 is bullshit. Its negligible.
A new driver at my age 26 still has to pay like £1800-2000, I'm in greater manchester.
I'm 39 and still get quotes of like £1000 bucks for insurance for a banger. This even though I've had my license since 18 have no points and have done jobs where I have been driving all day long.
We also have congestion charge and clean air zone charges too. The situation is awful.
Nathaniel Hernandez
You don't know the half of it if you get a decent car you can easily pay 3500 or even 4000 for a respectable car.
Landon Rogers
I drive because I need to get to my workplace about 50km away from me at 7.00AM Otherwise it would be literally impossible to get there on time. I pay around (converted to USD) $80 for insurance+road tax per month We have the highest gas prices in the world, yet I would kill myself before using public transport. I use about 5.0-5.5L of diesel a week, which comes out to around USD170 every month
Ian Green
£ for insurance on average per year omfg i pay 850zł its like 170,34 GBP
Carson Moore
>Most standard cars after 2005 can get 35mpg. dumbass
Charles Cook
Enjoy your blown head gaskets.
John Gomez
Who cares, in London there's the underground. You DO live in London don't you user?
Jace Collins
The fuck is theory ?
Levi Martinez
>he doesn't drive the car as the inventors intended Taught myself from scratch without any help and drove 800 miles without insurance, tax or license. The only important thing you could say is MOT. Anyone who cuck drives today is a pleb. As soon as I get a decent job this year and have enough money I may get another car and do the same.
Why would pay insurance and tax for? I don't get it...
Jacob Rodriguez
Driving is freedom. That's why every cucked country and city makes it difficult. They don't want you to be free.
John Robinson
Not British but plan to get my license, some practice with my dad's car and get my Class 1 license and go on the roads and shitpost until early retirement GPS are a bliss
Dominic Richardson
Get rid of the expedition, just a rebranded Mazda POS. Get a cheap late 80's early 90's Corvette with a 350 for cheap
Jonathan Wood
>decent cuck car which won't brake You're going to want a car that can brake.
Benjamin Bennett
you have to pass a test on a computer testing you on signs and hazard perception and shit like that
Owen Howard
It's a test on road laws/signs and similar things such as hazard perception, as well as things you probably wont ever need to know like the top speed of mobility scooters.
Joseph Jackson
>I pay £300 What kind of piece of shit car do you drive?
