Not saying 2020 necessarily, but to think R's stay in power forever is naive.

The nice thing about American politics is there's always this balance. One party wins the White House, the other starts to clean up in the House and state legislature races, then the inverse happens. If Democrats win the presidency in 2020, a lot of their big state gains they had in 2018 are going to be erased in 2022.

I still want Trump to win next year, but it's at least a nice consolation prize knowing if he doesn't, the Democrats that took power in my state in 2018 and have been acting like assholes ever since will get booted out two years later.

Or it could end up like it is now with the roles reversed. Reps haven't controlled all branches since the 20s. That could reverse in 2020 with the dems controlling everything.

That happened in 2008. The Democrats' House and Senate majorities were MASSIVE following the 2006 anti-Bush wave and the 2008 pro-Obama wave elections. They I think even temporarily accumulated a filibuster-proof Senate majority before Ted Kennedy died and Republican Scott Brown won the special election in Massachusetts for his former Senate seat.

Then look what happened in 2010...

Look at the Democratic Party. They’re so fractured there are 20 candidates. Nobody wants to boost anyone else. They just ALL think they have the right fix. Let in more foreign people, give everyone money, free college, wipe existing debt, etc. They don’t agree on a single direction.
Look at the other side. Rational, goal oriented, and a unified front.
You haven’t lived long if you think people prefer chaos over realistic.

These clowns don't deserve taxpayer funds, and they need to clean their act up before they get any more money from the taxpayers.
