Well they did have a warrant apparently. Looks like the police expedited the leak investigation. Actually it's kind of weird because the police report was about a public defender who died due to excessive cocaine and alcohol use, and that public defender was very much anti-police corruption. It would have been in the police's interests to leak the report to smear the guy's reputation.
