Everybody loved YouTube and Facebook when they first appeared but now they've become evil with unrelenting censorship and banning of content. Is it too complex or expensive or protected for some rich corporation or country (Finland, Denmark, etc) to produce competitive websites like Facebook and YouTube used to be? What's going on? Why no viable competition?

Normies want normie websites user. That's the end all of it. Only 5% of web users are like us. The rest want Online TV.
A chink normie started youtube back in 2005.
Anybody can start a video hosting site.
>Everybody loved YouTube and Facebook
Youtube and MySpace*
This. If normies wanted free speech over comfy mindless normie content, free speech sites like BitChute and Minds would have become the norm over YouTube and Facebook.
Facebook was never good
the entire internet could be replaced easily it's just content. of course (((they))) would never let it happen, and not just (((them)))
i take that back it's content and a lot of infrastructure, so maybe not that easy to get a new net to where this one is.
Part of the problem is that minds and bitchute are almost exclusively political in content. People want livestreams, gaming, asmr, movie trailers, animations and tv shows. Bitchute and minds for the most part lack any kind of that sort of content.
Because the kikes can buy it out and control it.
What is a comparable and competitive video hosting site to youtube?
The reason for that is normies don't seek free speech sites so normie content doesn't end up on free speech sites, at least not in the volume it exists in the normieweb. As it stands, the main people using free speech sites are free speech purists or those who have been kicked from other platforms.

It was better than what it is now.

Why can't Jow Forums develop a site similar to YouTube?
So you think Normies are 95% of the population?
No, the large amount of NPC's dont care about anything. They dont know about cencorship or banned content. If some of their content vanishes for weird reasons and they somehow realize it, they just go to their next shit an dont give too much thought about
BITCHute shuts down content all the time. I assume Minds would be likewise, since all these fake "alternative" websites love to censor everything that even early mainstream social network sites didn't.
Yes. Most people are NPCs. This is my experience at least, I work security so I see and interact with a large portion of society.
>bait people with freedom of expression platform
>grow up big and rich
>start banning people you don't like
>stay rich and powerful
>influence governments to regulate free speech online
>claim moral high ground and preach degeneracy
Social engineering by social conditioning
I'll have to take your word on that. I'm not as active online as I used to be, I just periodically browse Voat and the chans these days.
You have to have a willing seller.
This. If Faceberg and JewTube had been doing what they do now a decade ago some other platform would've supplanted them. Now that they've effectively monopolized / duopolized the markets they can do whatever they want. They don't have to worry about competition anymore.
Problem isn't tech it's costs. No one has Google's cashflow to suckle on.
Sad seeing all the white youtubers disappearing over the years in favour of Jews their algorithm is brutal
NPC, non-player character.
Even if you created a successful competitor the banks and financiers would just prevent you from getting or using your money.

It's for your own good, goy. It's good to shut you down for the free market.
How could the 5%, shock them awake nonviolently?
Shitposting memes onto their normiesphere platforms
Jews. The answer is always Jews.
It's been happening for twenty years and still doesn't work
Caching needs to be better integrated into the internet. Everybody should be able to independently host their own videos, and the network itself should dynamically build a distributed cache at the isp level to distribute load. Bitchute is not right because it is pushing the media both up and down the last mile. This ought to work on the per-block basis of html 5 video media files. What happened to the idea of having independent web sites and using 'search engines'.
