Systemic therapy is quite based, if not led by a psychanalyst. Won't ask you about fucking your mother or else. It's meant to analyse dynamics between you and your envt.

CBT is a money making meme. It implies anyone can change their behaviour and eventually their personality as long as the right impulses are given by the therapist.

I read many criticism about different kind of therapies, scientifical articles as well as vulgarisation books.
I'm well aware about the bias and limits of the tool I use, and no kike would convince me that the human mind is simple enough to be "healed" with words or chemicals.
That's why I like CBT and systemic : not only we talk, but we also work on real behavior, with objectives between consultations.

I have an appointment Wednesday, and it helps me.
It really is self-help. the benefit you get out of it is that you are trying to explain to another person what's going on with you - and in the process of mentally organizing your thoughts to communicate it, you figure out more than you would have otherwise.
And the Psych is there to process what you say, make observations and suggestions.
Look at it that way.
You are doing all the work.
Therapist is just there to play an essential role of listener.

I won't disagree about religion and money leeching. As well as chemicals refine natural elements, I see psychotherapy as a refined confession : remove what's useless and keep the essence.
Many therapists just want your money, manipulating you to make dozens of consultations. It's even more true with psychiatrists (avoid them until you know what you're doing). I often make between 5 and 20. If you don't make progress after 5, consultation is often useless and you should move to chemicals or another kind of therapy. Or noting, since most people live well with their psychosis and nevrosis. I mean, look at Jow Forums.
