Living in Moscow

>Drops street view pin to literally any residential area in Moscow
>Confronted by miles of decrepit tower blocks in every direction

What the hell, Ruskibros? How does anyone live a good life in these elevated concrete prisons?

Vodka.

It's not bad inside.

We like our concrete fortresses

looks comfy, wide streets and alot of space between the blocks
better than polish commieblocks

They are mongoloids.

subhuman boxes for subhuman """"people"""

90% of people in Russia cant afford a private house. Only 20 floor buildings that will collapse in 30 years. Dont forget that Russia poorest country in Europe (besides Moldova)

Moscow suburbs, along with gropiastadt, former Robert Taylor homes in South side of Chicago, or many of the buildings on US college campuses all have the same type of architecture. It is an international architecture that originated in Germany under Walter Gropias. Who was kicked out when Hitler came to power because it was "cultural bolshevism". Gropias came to the United States. Hannes Meyer, protege of Gropias, went to Russia.

It came about as a godless type of architecture, primarily after ww1, because the founders of Bauhaus were godless people. And capitalism, like communism, is a godless ideology. The architecture is symbolic of this. Flat roofs and horizontal windows. Nothing point up to God. Pure functionality. No emphasis on beauty. No molding, no cornice. It breaks man down into a material unit. Give him just enough space , just enough sunlight, and he'll be happy. Like a zoo animal.

that Russia is the poorest country

>be soviets
>defeat ebil nazis
>conquer half the world
>unlimited power and resources

...and this is the best they can do

Pics?

So there are regular houses in the city? I've spent like 20 mins on street view and haven't found like a characteristic 'European street'

>In mother russia, you can legally fuck your mother!
No seriously, you russians need to fix that

That's UK police haha in Hackney hahaha

I also want to say that Berlin had building codes that prevented buildings from being higher than 4 stories. This was to prevent an increase in population density. Gropias however thought building higher buildings would be a solution to increasing population density. Of course he was wrong.

thank communism for those glorious commieblocks

Housing projects, housing projects as far as the eye can see, from the Baltic to the Bering

You laugh at this shit but when temperature hits -25 C in the temperate areas, the west calls in a national emergency, in Russia and the people in these concrete abominations get central heating that works god damn fine and its just another day for em'.

t.someone who lived in both a house and a commieblock. If it was not for the shitty ass winter temperatures and the price of wood and/or electricity for heating, I'd choose the house but reality is different unfortunately.

>This was to prevent an increase in population density.

No, it was actually limited according to the maximum length of the fire department's aerial ladders at the time (22m)

It's supposed to look shit on the outside. They're unusually sturdy actually

I just picked the ones near the main roads, there's loads more tucked away in hidden corners

The key for the degenerates who won WW1 and WW2 was to get AWAY from the traditional architecture that was practiced before WW1. Because after these people won ww2 they had complete power, so they recreated the world in their own image. Godless, materialist, and degenerate. They thought they were bringing everyone into a new age, an international age.

The product of living in these buildings is the same everywhere. The people become drunken criminals. The Bauhaus architecture kills your spirit and any hope you may have. The complete opposite feeling you get when you enter into a beautiful Catholic cathedral.

That's because the kikes looted your entire country when the Soviet Union collapsed.

Not really, most of Russian cities don’t have the private houses like in America/uk. The private houses are only in the “countryside” and called “dachas”, but people live there sporadically, on weekends or so. The reason for this is lack of proper infrastructure - if you will live in such a house in the outskirts you would spend 2-3 hours to get to work due to traffic. So most people prefer to live in a city blocks

The looting started in 1919 when ((they)) took over Russia. By the time ussr collapsed it’s economy was in shitter already

This is Gropiastadt. A suburb in Berlin. named after The founder of the "commie block." Walter gropias

These buildings are not just specific to Berlin and Moscow suburbs. They are all over the entire Western world.

Everyone born after ww2 was a guinea pig and a fucked up social experiment.

Jerusalem and London are much, much worse. London is crumbling.

London's in the process of knocking theirs down and replacing it with medium rise. Although, I do agree with you the quality can be very questionable at times.

yeah, what a shame to see this ugly building on the walk to work in the morning. fucking bongs.

found the hohol.

Apartment living is the norm on continental Europe. Houses are still regarded as family homes, something to hand on through generations. You probably haven't been out of the UK other than maybe fortnight of drinking, kebabs and some reprieve from the atrocious weather. Russia and much of Europe has breathtaking glorious summers where the only thing you can complain about is mosquitoes. Winter is deep and biting but these homes are toasty and comfy as fuck with polystyrene exterior insulation 4 inches thick, heavy double glazed windows and efficient affordable heating. The only thing I miss in my apartment is a bathtub. Everyone has showers but other than that the building quality is better than British homes with the exception of utilities which are pasted into walls and ceilings so rewiring means ripping the plaster out as well.

These homes could withstand a close proximity explosion and remain standing only losing windows and trimmings.

I can imagine. Sounds comfy. Houses here are fucking shit. 90% of people can't afford houses here either.

Because we don’t have -30 degrees each fucking winter that’s starts in late October.

They need them for housing niggers, just like the US does.

I bought myself a nice little commie apartment in Moscow, even though as an Australian I am used to big single family dwellings. I quite like the way that in Moscow (at least outside the garden ring) that you get clusters of high rise apartment buildings that are well served by services that are separated from the next cluster by a large park/forest. Beats an endless sea of houses on tiny blocks where you have to get in the car to do anything. I ride a bike to work, walk to the supermarket or bank, take the kids for walks in the forest. Comfy as fuck.
