About 8% of China's GDP is exports to the US alone, only counting the direct cash payments for the exported goods. Counting the full supply chain, it's even larger, though I don't have the numbers.

China's real problem is that because of their response to the Great Recession, the Belt and Road project, and massive domestic civilian and military projects, they have no real ability to counteract recession except by printing money to stimulate inflation. Their (mostly state owned) banks are already stretched to near the limit of their ability to extend credit. Consumer growth is beginning to slow. The mere threat of US tariffs has brought foreign investment to a standstill. Half their economy is already state owned, so they have few options for emergency nationalization of companies. Chinese consumers are swimming in debt and do not have savings to maintain their lifestyles in the event of a massive recession, much less stimulate the economy.

China is actually very poor in resources relative to their population. While they have a lot of fertile farmland, they do not produce enough to feed their population. They do not produce enough iron, aluminum, or wood to run their factories. A lot of their food comes from America and almost all of it comes from America plus our allies. Most of their raw materials are imported from Africa via Indian Ocean shipping, meaning the US can cut off the supply from well outside the range of Chinese missiles should China declare war over a blockade.

Not only can China be stopped, it may be possible to stop them with Trump's tariffs alone. The last round dropped their GDP growth by half a percent according to their official statistics, which are widely believed to be fraudulent and inflated.

What kind of historical illiteracy is this? China has been expanding since the Zhou dynasty and only contracted (temporarily) during periods of long division. China 50 years ago did not have Tibet in its borders. China 150 years ago did not have Xinjiang in its borders. China expands in occasional bursts, but when it does it never lets go of integrated territory. Only tributaries like Vietnam, Korea, and Mongolia escaped their clutches, the latter with help from the Soviets.

You're missing the point. Much like Russia has buffer states that have historically been subject to Russian influence, China can only maintain stability through dominating its neighboring nations. The Great Wall is testament to their vulnerability to foreign invasions and their culture and history is shaped by this.
