Because we have no public spaces, only privately owned social media, forums, parks, malls, and shopping plazas. The arguments for uncontrolled private property rights have reached full circle now that all public spaces are private and vitriolic conservatives are feeling the squeeze as they are slowly silenced in these private-public arenas.
