He said the Gospel of John is the only Gospel we know for certain was written by an Apostle. The Gospel of John is the most based and antisemitic Gospel too. Turn the other cheek crap only comes from the others and they were written by third hand accounts at best. I guess now I know for certain I don’t have to turn the other cheek like a cuck. Didn’t expect to learn that from my formerly cuckservative dad of all people.
My parents used to be total christcucks but my dad said something surprising today

Too much mental gymnastics for me. First 3 gospels are fanfics is less bullshitty.
God the Father is the progenitor of the physical reality
He incarnated as Christ in the Roman province of Judea ~2000 years ago
And His Spirit lives within each of us, waiting for our decision to accept Him, and grant us everlasting life in Him.
At the time of Jesus, says Wink, striking backhand a person deemed to be of lower socioeconomic class was a means of asserting authority and dominance. If the persecuted person "turned the other cheek," the discipliner was faced with a dilemma: The left hand was used for unclean purposes, so a back-hand strike on the opposite cheek would not be performed. An alternative would be a slap with the open hand as a challenge or to punch the person, but this was seen as a statement of equality. Thus, by turning the other cheek, the persecuted was demanding equality.
Wink continues with an interpretation of handing over one's cloak in addition to one's tunic. The debtor has given the shirt off his back, a situation forbidden by Hebrew law as stated in Deuteronomy (24:10–13). By giving the lender the cloak as well, the debtor was reduced to nakedness. Wink notes that public nudity was viewed as bringing shame on the viewer, and not just the naked, as seen in Noah's case (Genesis 9:20–23).
Wink interprets the succeeding verse from the Sermon on the Mount as a method for making the oppressor break the law. The commonly invoked Roman law of Angaria allowed the Roman authorities to demand that inhabitants of occupied territories carry messages and equipment the distance of one mile post, but prohibited forcing an individual to go further than a single mile, at the risk of suffering disciplinary actions.[3] In this example, the nonviolent interpretation sees Jesus as placing criticism on an unjust and hated Roman law, as well as clarifying the teaching to extend beyond Jewish law.[4]
Whatever you need to tell yourself.
Oh your just too stupid to understand that customs and laws change with time. My bad.

Turn the other cheek also was written in a way using Latin that it was only meant to be applicable in private matters. In public matters you're pretty much aloud to do whatever protects the society you live in.
But understanding the Bible is hard for some people. I love the people with this post-post-enlightenment idea that Christians are just supposed to accept everything being done to them despite that idea only showing up in the past couple of decades.
Jesus told his followers to buy swords. John the Baptist told his followers to stay in the army and accept pay. And Old Testament god loved telling his followers to go to war, take slaves and commit genocide.
Holy shit, you guys are super triggered by my op. Why are you guys so insistent that the first 3 gospels are valid if that’s where all the cuck shit comes from?
none of it is valid

thanks for the links bro
That’s factually untrue. The whole study of biblical origins and OG texts is called hermeneutics.
The fact is there’s no established proof of any apostles actually wrote any of it. That’s why there called “gospels” ... they’re originally oral, spoken, histories, of Christ’s life as told by apostles. Written accounts would have been difficult for the v early church, because of illiteracy and lack of access to parchment, but also dangerous because of religious persecution and politics.
The gospel themselves were written down more than a century after Christ’s death, based on those accounts and attributed to various apostles. The stories were mixed and matched, with various rashomon like viewpoint and contradictions. As the church became established in Rome, and Latin and Greek translations appeared the accounts were compiled into something standard. John is interesting because a textual analysis (word usage, tone, structure) suggests it was almost all written by one person; the other are more amalgamated. Some accounts outside of the Bible known as “gnostic” gospels, still exist and are studied, but not considered canon or theologically valid.
The only folk that seem to ignore this are American Baptists and pulpit thumpers that think the bible is the literal word of god, perfect, despite the historical fact, and that all these stories were translated and copied from Greek, to Latin, to other language and finals to KingJames English more than 1000 years later, after all sorts of human errors and mistakes and exclusions and revisions. Interesting to note that absolute “work of god” didn’t exist anywhere in Christendom, Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox, whatever, ... until after the expansion of Islam. That’s becuase Muslim say the Quran is literally “gods word” divinely received through the illiterate Mohammed. Christcucks couldnt cope with that so biblical fundamentalists schicsmed.
