i usually just vaguely count calories, paeleo is a good weight loss diet.

Ask Intermittent fasting + Just focusing on healthy food is better than being religiously paleo.

My buddy is aggressively trying the paleo diet. He honestly looks like shit. Everyone (friends and family) is telling him to stop with the exception of his doctor.

- I wish they wouldn't put mushrooms in the vegetable category.

Attached: southpark.jpg (960x540, 65K)

Your buddy must be doing it wrong, get him to eat some liver and kidneys, probs not getting enough vitamins and shieet. Paleo is fucking fantastic and makes me and everyone I know on it feel God tier and healthy as fuck. Grains and carbs are bullshit.

you can try the Rothschild diet:

- vegan
- keto
- organic bio
- minimally processed
- minimally cooked
- pure distilled water
- fresh green juice

Basically:
leafy greens for minerals/vitamins + oils as fat fuel
nuts/seeds as proteins

then you add:
- nofap
- meditation for purifying the mind
- yoga for strechting the body
- sleep with windows open for fresh air
- plant/grow veggies as it pleases motherly earth (sprouted seeds + microgreens are easy to start)

then you add after 6 months:
- sungazing (+5s staring each day max)

Eat a balanced amount of fruits dairy, vegetables, potatoes/rice/bread, nuts and you can't go that wrong. Anyone who tells you otherwise is too emotionally invested into their diet to think rationally.

excellent, but to eat paleo you can't go to a grocery store, there isn't hardly anything sold there that is paleo.

enjoy your bugs, and whatever you can catch or scrounge from the wilderness to eat.

Attached: embarrassing.jpg (1262x592, 157K)

forgot meat

Milk is fine imo as well other tubers like sweet potatoes and regular potatoes. Other than that it looks fine just dont go crazy on fruit bc that fatty liver damage

>peanut butter, a manufactured food product, is paleo

Attached: 1525501926788.jpg (720x736, 32K)

Attached: dr-gundry.jpg (1365x2048, 214K)

The Rothschild diet is nothing but oil. You can read it in his ama

Your diet should be grains such as potatoes rice wheat fruits and meat and most importantly running and exercises.

Forgot it No panic pls

Depends what kind you buy, a lot of peanut butter is fucking garbage but there is legit stuff out there that is fucking amazing.

Peanut butter has been around since antiquity in Central and South America. Ingredients to make it are peanuts, peanut oil, honey, and later, salt.

Sounds gay as fuck mate. Just smash 6 greggs sausage rolls and a 4 pack of carling for each meal. Stella and cocaine for pudding. Lovely jubilee

Attached: KR59LVHB_400x400.jpg (400x400, 37K)

Still wrong to include bread. Absolutely non-essential to a healthy diet. Might as well add cake.

Have you tried it ?

It's hard for me to stick to it because of social reasons. I have often to eat in a restaurant / share a meal with others... I often get kicked out of ketosis and felt the keto flue. It's insane how everything turns around carbs...

No wonder why everyone dies painfully after their 60s.

there is peanut butter solely made of peanuts. but obviously amerifats will add a bunch of shit onto it.

That's because vegan keto is bullshit. We need to eat meat. You can make keto work if meat is included in the diet. But not vegan keto.

It was the start to me losing 80 pounds.

It's a great diet and unlike keto, it's really hard to go wrong with it.

Veg supplemented with some wild meat. This is the bodies preferred diet.

I would recommend taking away
1) the salt
2)any proccesed thig like peanut butter. eat peanuts instead

and lastly that has too much emphasis on fruit. 1 piece or two is enough fruit.
rely mostly on vegtables and eggs. eat meat 3x a week max unless it's fish. you can have it everyday

almost nothing in that pyramid is paleo.

Any Wal-Mart will have more than enough items to eat a paleo diet.

Attached: thisisyourhomejillette.png (680x697, 322K)

a meditteranean diet is always healthy.
Its not the diet only, but the quality of the food, most food in the markets is pure poison, growth hormones, heavy metals, toxic ingredients, dairy full of bad bacteria, laced with insect reppelants.

What you need to do is find pure produce, dairy meat fish fruit that is clean from all the cancer. Very hard but worth the try

wrong, only a small amount of any food found in a supermarket is paleo, 98% of food items you buy are modern inventions, they were cultivated in the last several hundred years.

Paleo peoples ate what they could get, and their diets consisted of primarily fibrous plants, insects, undomesticated fruits, and only what animals they could catch or hunt, no domesticated animals at all.

sorry homo faggonensis you can't eat paleo unless you huint and gather.

Attached: 1 am serious.jpg (978x712, 110K)

Food was always seasonal before 1950.
Your body expects and needs seasonality in diet to function normally.
There is no one true good diet.

Brainlet

Attached: 01 - IknVO3T.jpg (750x500, 59K)

How the food was cultivated has nothing to do with the paleo diet. It doesn't matter if you go out and kill a cow yourself or if it was raised on a pasture.

Attached: poophead.jpg (1600x900, 197K)

once again you are wrong. modern foods are nothing like paleo foods. they contains more, and sometimes less nutrients, and more of the bad things we are not supposed to eat than paleo (or un-domesticated) foods.

sorry you are NOT eating paleo.

Do you really expect anyone to argue about the definition of paleo diet with a guy that claims in entails a complete hunger gatherer lifestyle. GTFO

>inb4 I have wear hand made leather approns because that's what hunter gatherers wore

>How do you feel about paleo
It's fucking retarded

pic unrelated

>kill a cow
cows did not exist (in their current forms) in paleolithic times.

If you kill and eat a wild animal it hasn't been pumped full of antibiotics, hormones and other shit.

>Wild cow

These haven't existed for thousands of years.

he probably is not eating enough

Any basic research would tell you that it's terrible for you.

Attached: 461587d51087bfdf8906149d356f972f.jpg (233x225, 14K)

greeks are faggots. do not copy this "medditeranian" diet

Paleo is good but was made with niggers, spics and chinks in mind. If you’re a white European then lactose intolerance shouldn’t be an issue, therefore omitting milk from your diet is retarded

>eggs and fish bottom
>no bread or potatoes
nice meme

>once again you are wrong. modern foods are nothing like paleo foods.
Most aren't, yes (grains, legumes, dairy). But some are close(meat, vegetables, some fruits) and you should eat more of those to get a macro-nutrient profile close to what our bodies evolved for.

Attached: Baconface.jpg (1280x850, 239K)

Why? i want you to name why

>Eating fresh meat and wild fruit and veg is bad for you

Hahahahahahahahahaha

just do intermittent fasting dude. 18 hours fasting, 6 hours eating (e.g, 6 hours in which to get your calories for the day, whether cutting or not). keto is also good if you want a defined diet.

This.

Its not healthy to eat any of it in excess, except may veg. eat all the veg you want.

Dont eat any junk, anything with high sugar/fat/salt content.

Limit your alcohol intake and only drink water. Maybe tea.

What about the more elaborated breads?(black bread, grain bread, egyptian bread etc) Seriously, every time I watch Rogan talking diet I just beg spomeone to ask him this

Nothing wrong with fruit and veg, the meat & dairy is what's bad.

The original food pyramid but cut out the grains and butter and oil is ok.

goddamnit I'm sick of all those wannabe nutritional scientists everywhere you go
they condtradict each other all the time mostly because it's all placebo
just don't eat complete shit, your ancestors didn't care about all that nutrition crap and they were all fine
pick up your gradma's cookbook, roughly count your calories (in don't eat over 4k every day unless getting a lot of exercise sense) and go nuts

what's wrong with grains?

why do niggas still think grains are bad for you.

Finally someone with sources to back their shit
So what would you consider a truly healthy diet user?

Vegan unironically.

It's the healthiest diet in terms of getting all necessary nutrients, with as little as possible of harmful compounds.

A well planned and organised vegan diet is optimal, but a half assed vegan diet is still preferable to your standard american diet.

Here's some data to back it up:

Adventist Health Study 2 ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4191896/

"In conclusion, in a large American cohort, we found that vegetarian dietary patterns were associated with lower mortality. The evidence that vegetarian diets, or similar diets with reduced meat consumption, may be associated with a lower risk of death should be considered carefully by individuals as they make dietary choices and by those offering dietary guidance."

Position of the American Dietetic Association on vegetarian diets ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19562864/

Forgot to post this one.

Arteries of Vegans vs. Runners
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17518696

"Long-term consumption of a low-calorie low-protein vegan diet or regular endurance exercise training is associated with low cardiometabolic risk."

Found that sedentary vegans have better ateriole health than endurance runners.

>a half assed ... diet is still preferable to your standard american diet
Couldn't you say this for any diet?

Paleo is a meme, go carnivore.

I'll give you that, poorly planned diets will always be bad regardless of the "diet genre" they sit in.

I argue that diets containing meat cannot by definition meat any reasonable definition of healthy since cholesterol is a necessary component of them, since any necessary nutrient derived from meat can be derived from a plant source, there is no logical reason to ever consume it for "health" reasons.

Attached: 1490282590460.jpg (417x411, 17K)

Unless of course you hold an unscientific position that dietary cholesterol has no effect on serum cholesterol.

Or the equally unscientific position that dietary cholesterol is necessary to build test or some other bullshit.

Attached: 1442972790159.jpg (480x360, 9K)

Blacks can't be Paleo?

eat clean food, drink clean water

avoid industrial farming. it's cruel and unhealthy. gmo is not normal, they select for volume, not quality. shit is full of hormones and other chemicals

clean water is essential. most tap water is contaminated with pharmaceuticals or farm/industrial runoff

you are what you eat and drink, lads.

1/10 for making me reply to your stupidity

The honest truth about dieting is the following:

Everything works but not for everyone.

I do this: I just eat whatever the hell I want, but only sometimes. I often don't eat anything at all. Like I only eat once every 48hours or so, and it works for me. And when I go somewhere and I want to eat, I just eat, lol.
Nothing too strict.
But it still lost me over 10kg of fat over a few months.

When I tried 0 Carbs I was fucking miserable all the time.
I can't for the love of god stick to a strict diet.
So the best thing I could do was fasting, and it works perfectly for me.
For me, it was a silver bullet, and I will never ever be fat again for the rest of my life. Glad I figured that out.
Find your own silver bullet.

Nutritional vitamin B12 deficiency in a breast-fed infant of a vegan-diet mother:

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/3948463

"We report the case of a 7 month-old girl that presented with acute anemia, generalized muscular hypotonia and failure to thrive. Laboratory evaluation revealed cobalamin deficiency, due to a vegan diet of the mother."

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18293883

Most recent studies using more sensitive techniques for detecting B12 deficiency have found that 68% of vegetarians and 83% of vegans are B12 deficient, compared to just 5% of omnivores. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12816782
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10966896
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10552882

On paper, calcium intake is similar in vegetarians and omnivores (probably because both eat dairy products), but is much lower in vegans, who are often deficient.
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21139125
ajcn.nutrition.org/content/70/3/543s.full

Vegetarians and omnivores have similar levels of serum iron, but levels of ferritin—the long-term storage form of iron—are lower in vegetarians than in omnivores.
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24871479

Fruits and Vegetables
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12064344

This is significant, because ferritin depletion is the first stage of iron deficiency. Moreover, although vegetarians often have similar iron intakes to omnivores on paper, it is more common for vegetarians (and particularly vegans) to be iron deficient. For example, this study of 75 vegan women in Germany found that 40% of them were iron deficient, despite average iron intakes that were above the recommended daily allowance.
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/14988640
ajcn.nutrition.org/content/78/3/633S.long

many plant foods that contain zinc also contain phytate, which inhibits zinc absorption. Vegetarian diets tend to reduce zinc absorption by about 35% compared with omniovorous diet.
ajcn.nutrition.org/content/78/3/633S.long

Thus, even when the diet meets or exceeds the RDA for zinc, deficiency may still occur. One study suggested that vegetarians may require up to 50% more zinc than omnivores for this reason.

So, whats the basest diet that im sure you rigurously follow?

The food source that has the closest CHEMICAL COMPOSITION TO THE CELLS OF MY BODY so that nutrients are assimilated easily

whoa, what a great diet, just meat. Thanks user!

And lots of fat, for the fat soluble vitamins. Best way to find your diet is to ask your grandparents about their eating habits and carefuly study what your ancestors ate

Look into the Ray Peat diet, after being on it for a year I have more energy than when I was a kid.

Something along the lines of keto.
Fats, meat, animals proteins (eggs, cream), some useful veg. I'm now sprouting broccoli seeds for the higher whatevers. Coconut oil, MCT oil, butter, etc.
No fruit, only starchy veg I allow myself is limited potatoes, in small amounts. No rice, pasta, bread, any of that crap.

This.
The body craves carbs, but that knock out feeling after over-eating too many, when you fall into a deep sleep after your dinner....that affects everyone after 40. And it isn't normal for humans.

>h-hey g-guys I f-forgot to mention m-meat, d-don't judge me, m-meat i-is for real m-men
Meat brains are pathetic.

>Found that sedentary vegans have better ateriole health than endurance runners.

Weird, probably the massive heart gains have something to do with it.

Minimalize: Fast food, sodas and other sugary drinks, candy, chocolate, potatochips, fatty sausage.

Want to lose weight eat a calorie defecit, to gain weight eat a calorie surplus.
That is all, and all these meme diets can fuck off.
If you think its potatoes, rice or milk making you fat or unhealthy you are seriously tricking yourself.

Just eat ass.

No dairy product is essential or even, really, desirable for any human life at any age. There, now this thread is “political”. While we are on the subject, no grain is either. In fact most people would do better with no grain or fairly in their diet.

I’m on day 3 of my first time ever trying Keto. I’ve never tried a diet before cause I’ve never really been skinny fat before.
I want to incorporate running and lifting in eventually but idk wtf I’m doing. Not even sure if I’m doing it in the right order.
Should lurk Jow Forums more.

One of your biggest claims here is that vegans are deficient in Vitamin A.

>pic related, it's the amount of vit A in a single carrot.

I don't have the time nor patience to sit through and debunk all of your unfounded cherry picked claims.

You literally debunked none of my references, just tried to insult the authors.

The vegetables that you eat are mostly fiber (which you will shit out) and some anti-nutrients and folic acid (which will produce a general inflamatory response and inhibit real nutrient absorbtion)
