I've always thought that the way to make arranged marriages work is to put the couple-to-be together from a very young age, and keep them very close together (same room, same schooling sitting together, working together at jobs, same everything that can reasonably be done) so that they already share the same interests due to the same environment, and so that they are eachother's confidant and closest friend. If this was done, there would be literally no problems with the arranged couple not loving eachother, or ever considering cheating. (any "homos" would not arise because there would never be any reason to question who they were going to be with). for a basic explanation for those who doubt this would work, it's basically an intentional, parentally arranged version of the childhood friend fetish.
