earthships are a scam, sad but true. The amount of labor that goes into one more than makes up for any long term savings, as making the heating/cooling fully passive is still an unsolved issue. You're infinitely better off building a prefab wooden shack in a good climate area, then researching energy efficienc and passive heating/cooling systems. You can do a lot of stuff with heat pumps, biogas and even simple wood pellet stoves.

In short, half-burying a wooden shack(hobbit style) is infinitely better for energy independent cheap homes then scamships.
