It's clearly something other than trespassing, since the creation of the fetus is a voluntary act (rape and incest account for 1.5% of all abortions). You're not allowed to kill someone that you've invited into your home. Obviously it's slightly different than that, since the mother was not intending to get pregnant, but describing this as a straightforward property right issue is incorrect.

I'll concede that it might be a property rights issue if you're also arguing that children are rightly the property of their parents, who should hold the power of life and death over them, ala ancient Rome. If you believe that's immoral, however, it's hard to see why we should make an unprincipled exception only before the child is born.

So are pro-abortion arguments, which are mostly centered around child pregnancy, rape and incest, even though rape/incest cases only make up 1.5% of the total abortions obtained according to the CDC, and child abortions have dropped from 43 per thousand in the 80's to only 2 per thousand in 2013, also according to the CDC.

So if you were to say OK, let's make it legal in the cases of rape, incest, childhood pregnancy, health issues and other life threatening stuff like that, and that leaves 85% of abortions happening for no reason other than convenience and because women are either too lazy to use birth control, can't afford it, are ignorant of it or simply don't care about that potential life being snuffed out to keep their asses in the club on Friday night.

But the rape/incest/child pregnancy/health alibi is the strongest argument they have, born out of either ignorance, emotional manipulation or both. Anyone with one eye and half sense can see that there are far more moral gymnastics going on on the pro abortion side.
