This has happened literally all year, over and over again. They're all out of ideas, everywan.
Whenever there is spamming or raiding and the thread goes past the bump limit, it is helpful if, even after the new thread is posted, you would be so kind as to cover the amount of posts that the spam did by posting more. If you are able to quickly post more without much issue then you can prevent the previous thread from dropping below bump limit and causing issues.

I don't think the "reports" go anywhere. It's like the 'close doors' button on an elevator. It does nothing but give you satisfaction for pushing it/an outlet for aggression.
The worst case scenario is that the thread drops significantly and unthinkingly the new thread is deleted, which has happened before. All and all not replying to or about spam, hitting it with the button, then covering any damage it could do like that to continuity means you're good.

Now any time you run into a shill in the thread, click and drag to highlight their ID code, then select the triangle at the end of that line and select "filter text" and click "hide" when the box opens. Save, refresh the page, and the shill is filtered.
That is actually against the rules if you check the report options.
