How does it feel being the buffer between millennials and zoomers (gen z)? Which generation do you identify more with?

Attached: 523a2f0be691b239b20e58c4_736.jpg (500x470, 85K)

my heart says zoomers but my brain says millennial. i wonder how weird it must be for the people born between 1960 and 1965. not quite a boomer but too old to be gen x.

It feels great because i don't have to identify with any of those faggots.

I honestly didn't have a particularly memorable or relatable childhood so I can't relate to anyone in that sense

I think we are smarter millennials because we grew up when the internet was pretty developed, but social media wasn't around.

Kek

RetroGen

Early 90s were cool, mid to late 90s were shit anyway

>Which generation do you identify more with
Gen X and a bit with the zoomers desu, I grew up in an Eastern European country so we experienced in a short period of time everything from the 80s onwards

Born in 1990, wanted to call you out on this but I did spend my early years of school learning on floppy disks and early internet, kids having cellphones en masse wasn't a thing until middle school... maybe you landed at the right time to adapt

I was born in 95 but grew up poor with handmedowns from cousins
I didnt even know what an internet was until 2005
Ive been here since 2007
Jumping from only having an snes and gbc/a to having everything up to 5th gen emulatable for free was magical

More the millenials culturally (tv shows and pop culture references) but ideologically probably closer to a zoomer (lost generation memes, vaporwave, edginess).

Born in '96, definitely more of a boomer myself.

intersectional millenizooming and it's effects on roastie and race relations

Neither because they aren't real. Generations aren't a thing. Stop forcing this meme.

Lol some butthurt soiboi cuckllennial made that pic. Im 99 and i grew up on 90s cartoons mostly cause then they showed shit 5 years after release as new.

Yea I was in 99 and we all got iPads when we got into the public middle school. Was pretty nice having internet access 24/7 back then, probably why I didn't learn shit about mesopotamia

96, but i can't tell the difference between millenials and zoomers. i guess zoomers because the music is better.

I think I coined zoomer by accident, during GDQ last year
How do you like it?

It's older than that, there's a relevant urban dictionary definition from Nov. 2017. It's hard to be an innovator with so many people on this planet but maybe you were the first in your area to use it.

Why would you want to be a millennial?

At least the Zoomers, GenX and the Boomers had some redeeming features in their generations, I can't think of a single one yet for the millennials yet.

>1960 and 1965
It usually depends on their brothers and sisters. If they are older, then they tend to associate with the older generation likewise for younger.

> I can't think of a single one yet for the millennials yet.
Maybe it's because they aren't old enough to accomplish anything yet retard, they're all like below 18. In 10 years if they don't develop anything then there worthless most likely.

Millennials started in the mid 80s. The older ones are in their mid 30s already.

They have accomplished a lot already. They killed anything fun (music, movies, comedy, an so on), their political representation is SJW or cuckservative, and they are starting to resemble their boomer parents in every way possible (hoarding wealth for themselves and destroying any way for anyone else to achieve the same thing while virtue signalling to alleviate their guilt for whatever they have done).

>Millennials are under 18
You mean zoomers? user already said that zoomers have some redeeming features. Millennials, those born in the 90s, are the ones he said has no redeeming qualities. And to be honest, my generation really is the one that took to safe spaces, Tumblr, entitlement, etc.

1998. Why are both the young and the old so damn retarded.
>Believe Spook Organizations
>FREE LOVE LMAO
>What's an STD? whoops, Super Gonorreha!
>God is gay, watch as I (an intellectual atheist) shove a banana up my ass
Jesus Christ

zoomer because millenials kinda look like faggots.

Ah that’s good, I’d hate to be responsible for that. Might’ve helped popularize it though on v or wherever.

Born early 84. I like mowing my yard. Get at me.

I cant relate with Gen Z and I cant relate with millenials

>Which generation do you identify more with?

The Lost Generation in terms of values, probably.

I hate both millennials and zoomers

I was also born in 1999 btw

>remembers that about ten years ago that image would've applied to kids born in 89 talking about being a 80s kid.

Attached: images.jpg (219x230, 8K)

Not millennial because I'm too young to remember most millennial shit, but I'm too old to be into zoomer shit. But if I had to pick it would be millennial

I know that feeling. Born in the early 90s and feel like I would fit better in the early 1900s ffs

Just a reminder that year of birth doesn't matter at all, age is all that matters. And all words like millennial, boomer, zoomer are bullshit.

I was born 1993 and even I feel more like a 2000's kid. Don't really have that many memories from when i was younger than 6.

I feel this. Don’t personally know many thats 25 and up since born in 98. But from what i see they have taken the sjw pills and such the most. My generation is full of retards with no attention span since their brains have been molded by social media. But in turn the internett has allowed us to see how degenerate the choises and values of the zoomers are, more and more of the youngs are starting to lean to the right, and are starting to get pissed. Some based, some retards. But i guess thats how it has always been, what do I know.

How degenerate the choises and values of the millenials are*

yea i read that wrong though you said gen z

Neither. Feels good man.

Yeah if youre born in those years sorry youre a zoomer.

I was born in late '98.
I remember 911
I had internet acess and my own computer when I was 6 and barely able to read.
Haven't had social media untill 14 and never realy used it.
In therms of values I'm much closer to zoomers than to millenials.
Depending on the definition generation Z starts at '98 anyway.

94 here. Neither gen Y or gen Z accepts me. I have an equal amount of friends on each side. I fit neither of the stereotypes that my friends do

So boomers understand tech like gen zs? Honestly most retarded comment. Different eras effect each age range differently

96 here. In my experience the people my age identify with millennials if their parents are younger, and if their parents are older they're more gen Z. Personally I guess I'm more Gen Z as I'm not a bleeding heart liberal who DUDE WEED LMAO.

Go back to plebbit, whore.

>millenials
>hoarding wealth

Attached: pepe_cmon_guy.jpg (255x255, 21K)

Some of us had internet in the early 90's you know, and unlike you guys who could just google every problem we had to troubleshoot with manuals, test, tinker, and even program just to use it. I remember making my first homepage in basic html at age 11 to discuss sonic the hedgehog and gamecheats.

>age is all that matters
Boomers are old and slow to adapt. When the millennials grow old, they will behave just like todays boomers

>Zoomers, GenX and the Boomers had some redeeming features
They are all unironically worse than millennials. Zoomers are retards and no one will employ them. They don't even know how to use any tech and they grew up eith smartphones.

To extrapolate, I also understand the freedom that comes with owning a car and enjoy driving. I also plan on owning a house instead of renting for eternity. Just Boomer my shit up.

As much as we shit on boomers, all of these generations will probably act exactly the same once we have the reins. Maybe there will be another Greatest Generation in there somewhere though

>depends on siblings
This is accurate. I was born in 84 but all my siblings where mid 70s and on. I followed whatever they did so music tastes and the like were all from their years. My first CD was Pearl Jam 10 album and I hate myself for it. First tape was Steve Miller band in 89. My more pure gen x siblings are all fucked up.

born in 99, I identify with none. millenials are the most faggy and sjw generation, more than zoomers

I bought a reel mower for that True Mowing Experience

95 here
i identify neither with the faggot millenial nor the retarded zoomer
sjw culture and fortnite both suck ass
wish i was born today instead, so much potential,,,

gf says im more of a millennial. I don't care for either but there you go

Attached: thumbe.png (1500x1500, 572K)

86' here and I find this untrue for myself but when I look at my peers I think yep

It's really just the ones that were young enough to have social media in high school/college. 2004 was the real schism...not the nebulous "generation" bullshit.

The oldest millenial on earth is still not old enough to run for President yet, the producers behind the film industry, the big wigs that dictate who gets signed for a record production or not, all of it is still dominated fairly well by the previous generations

And calling millenials wealthy? There hasnt been this many generational or multi family households since the great depression

People born after 1995 are Gen Z.

t. '93 millennial

im 86 what am i... someone said im millenial but i dont feel like it i never did the facebook shti my highschool had g3 imacs and pentium 2 hps, the psp was released during my senior year, modern smartphones didnt come for another 3-4 years my middle school was dreamcast and dialup i enjoyed sprinkle spangles cereal and routinely went to a kmart until highschool age, radio was alternative rock in 5th grade, my friend had minidisc player in hs and a ps2... i was here when 4ch had /l/ i used irc to download sailor moon and other ancient anime in realmedia format vhs rips with fansubs before vlc and codec packs and softsubs...

idont wanna be grouped with millenials shouldnt that be 1990 cutoff.
...please

>mfw '94

lmao you underages need to gtfo my website (Jow Forums). Cant believe there is a possibility im debating politics with kiddos who have no recollection of the first big political event of the 21st century (9/11) but think their political opinions matter

Attached: You_arent_really_metal.jpg (125x125, 3K)

The generational gap doesn’t make sense to me. You’re telling me (a late millennial) i have more in common with people who were born 12 years earlier than I was than people I went to high school with based on arbitrary generational lines

I'm a 99'er, and we're an interesting bunch. We were exposed to a lot of the cliche "best childhood ever" stuff, but are too young to really remember it fondly, remember it beyond the mere remembrance that it existed. But we're also old enough to, unlike the zoomers, have been raised for a period of time where everyone wasn't crazy. (people say 9/11 is when everyone went crazy, but i think the 2006 & 2008 elections actually are) We aren't like zoomers in that we haven't embraced the stupidity of it all. We know what sanity is, we just haven't experienced it. We grew up constantly hearing people shit on millenials, so we tried to avoid being stereotypes. Culturally there isn't much to associate with us. The only thing that comes to mind is the original Wii. I can't say I identify much with either millenials or zoomers. We can relate to both of them, but aren't quite in the same zeitgeist.

I don't get why westerners need to compartmentalize themselves so much... I had a good relationship with my father and my grandfather

Whichever gives me more forrest porn surrounded by furbies. Started 2 collections that day but after the internet only have one left

86 here. Master race

>Which generation do you identify more with?
Neither, I believe we're our own thing.

being born in 95' is absolute hell, all my cousins were older so i basically lived in their world for years until they all left for college and my life was purged of everything pre-2007 and then i wasted away on xbox live for the remainder of my teens

Don't kid yourself. It's still the boomers in charge. They're just getting older and more senile, but still only thinking of themselves and ruining everything. The internet is getting fucked because said boomers don't even know how it works while accepting legistlation

Yup.

hypercolor tshirts were pretty rad

I fucking hate millenials but I can't identify with zoomers.

Attached: 1541752876536.png (1000x1000, 496K)

1999 here, I identify with both. I grew up as a kid playing gamecube, listening to Linkin Park, playing runescape and neopets. I owned 6 tamagotchis and brought them with me to class because otherwise they would have a pile of shit and die. We LARPed as DBZ and Naruto characters. In middle school music was even more trash than it is now (Kesha, Katy perry, pitbull, Gangnam style). I was unironically a brony when I was 12. I smoked weed with when I was 13 and it was still considered edgy back then. Played league of legends and Runescape still. In high school I listened to typical zoomer music and did typical zoomer shit. Lil Peep, Kanye west (not really zoomer), yung lean, odd future. Had sex with Mexican girl and a Jew. To be fair it's only been a couple years since high school and I miss it (stuck in community college with boomers and disabled people)

>gf says
Yup, you're a millenial, nothing wrong with that kiddo, except you aren't a godtier b00mer like me!

1996 here. It's hard to say, I had a lot of older tech growing up, used the internet when I was pretty young, really feel like a mix of the two. I'm zoomer enough to hate millenials with a passion, but not zoomer enough that I have 50 different social media accounts and listen to trap/hip hop. I find punk rock and ska to be nostalgic as musical genres. My fondest video game memories are with the GBA, N64 and Gamecube. My favourite cartoons were the Angry Beavers, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Kappa Mikey and Rocko's Modern Life. I remember, very vaguely, 9/11, and I remember pre-cancer internet (I remember always playing shitty cheap flash games, and also visiting those sort of geocities pure-HTML sites. I also remember playing with friends and not spending all my time on the internet. I'm not sure if I could really be considered a millenial or a zoomer, just an angry, awkward mix of the two.

'95 was one the best years of my life. Was 5 years old and got a Sega Genesis console with Sonic 2. Like it was yesterday.

I feel more culturally aligned with zoomers but I’d be referred to as millennial if you saw me (I look like 10 years older then my actual age).

88 is the true master race

98
I don't feel zoomer at all, my parents were poor for most of my childhood and I got raised on old stuff. I remember watching early spongebob, samurai jack, courage, and others. First console was a PS1. Got a PS2 in 09. My first cellphone was a flip from 2010-2013 from there I got an android.
It's a weird feel. I don't identify with zoomers at all, but at the same time I do remember a couple of things they would consider their bread and butter fondly.
But mostly Millenial. I missed all the new tech and the culture that was born from it.

>Born in '99! I'm such a 90s kid lol
But that is true if you're from eastern europe. Early 2000s in the east was 90s in the west

>acting like the Americans getting a little shoah for a change is a big deal on the global level
Lol, nobody cares about your two-and-a-half towers that collapsed. Arab money is based for taking out a fifth of the Pentagon, though. Biggest kek was when the hijackers' papers were still being processed by customs much later after the attack. Oh, the American incompetence.
>muh visas
>can literally get a charter flight to the states and walk off the airport grounds
>boom, living in America

I identify with millennials more, I feel out of touch with zoomer culture with fortnight and all those memes.

>born '91

A-am I a millenial?

Attached: 90's Pepe.jpg (604x595, 74K)

Millennials start in '82, and you have to be 35 to run for president. You must be a millennial, considering you're so fucking ignorant.

>Which generation do you identify more with?
Honestly neither, if I had to pick one then it'd be millennials. Here in Europe we don't do the generational shit you americans do.

Yes
83-1997 is Millie

>mfw born in '89 and desperately trying to bullshit my way into 'muh 80's goy'

Attached: BlsHalp.jpg (519x537, 135K)

The generation shit started with the boomers

Sorry

>97
31 Dec '97?
31 Dec '96?

I hate both.

Attached: 1557253796809.jpg (250x300, 14K)

BAsed

Who gives a shit

There really isn’t a hard stance in the generational timeline, but most say 97-98

Millieneals basically grew up in the digital age, PlayStation, cellphones, internet, rap music etc..

95' jewboomer

Attached: 1554811324285.jpg (1000x1000, 246K)

Both, but I like Zoomers

I’m 89 too nigga

Same as pewdiepie and aryan goddess Taylor Swift

gonna disagree, the internet circa 2000 was a very different place, very little filtering; you actually had to know how to search for shit. you were also far more likely to land on some professor's web page when looking for stuff. the quality of discussion was alot higher, since you couldn't be a complete tard , had to know how to get online to begin with, and not everybody could use or had a computer, honestly i think devices like ipads and smart phones have probably destroyed the internet as it was ,too many normies cant handle a decent discussion without chimping out, which is why the police is all over that shit these days, and all the comment sections are gone.

Yes same here
