Communism is an out growth of maternalism. It isn't going to go away it is part of our nature to share within our smaller family units. Also for most of our time we were tribal which is also a sort of commune.
Capitalism makes more goods but if large enough groups feel like they are getting a raw deal as part of the overall group don't be surprised that they want to overturn the cart.
For most of our history resources were fixed so it was a win loose type of distribution, we are animals still.

That's the point. The strength of a nation can not be determined by its GDP, or where it'll be in 20 years. But simply by how willing the population is to self sacrifice for the nation.
The west has achieved the very peak of human achievement, education and living standards. And yet the majority of westerners aren't ready to sacrifice anything, let alone their lives for their homelands and countrymen.
Soviet communism for all its faults taught the people self sacrifice, and that they were simply one small piece of a much bigger picture.
Where as western liberalism teaches that the only thing that matters is the self, which resulted in capitalism.
I'll chose the former over the latter 100% of the time.

I had on old Chilean uber driver some weeks ago. I took the risk of offending a stranger and asked about his opinion on Pinochet. He lit up like a Christmas tree and just talked about him enthusiastically then how bad the commies are. He said too bad younger generations are turning commie ignoring their history.
