I like them, keep them coming

What radar you using?

Convective air potential energy. When you get much above 1500 AND you have significant shear bad things happen nigga

>first high risk day since 2017
>45% tornado risk
>Particularly Dangerous Situation
>"significant threat to life and property"

MY BODY IS READY

Thanks user

yeah they're pretty gay like u

Radarscope. It costs about $10 but you can find older pirated versions if you're cheap.

Is that stream live?

This is why i love summer. Even up here we can get some pretty interesting storms
Just hoping no more EF5s up here

Weather in OKC is dark right now. Looks like dusk and the air is heavy. Local news said we have a few hours here still. I'll take pictures/video when it gets closer to me.

They always have Stillwater in those maps, yet nothing ever happens there.

Is an outbreak like this normal this time of year? I thought they were more common in August

Youre doomed

RIP in peace Western OK anons

Oklahoma fag here can confirm the storm will only hit Moore and nothing else.

April-May is peak tornado season.

I'm assuming each of the red boxes are tornado warnings?

I'm by Dallas, I'm fine

No those are floods. The pink is a tornado watch.

Oklahoma
1907-2019
RIP

Yeah, but not like this. We get storms like this here once a decade or so. This is a bad one.

t. Okie fag

Moore always gets fucked

The storms that will wreak havoc in a couple hours are just firing off. The sun is shining where they are headed, CAPE values are over 5000 and shear is greater than 70 knots.

They look little now but they will be monsters by the time they cross into Oklahoma

Attached: 20190520_141215.jpg (1920x1200, 585K)

>Hurr we settled dis land and we ain't a gonna leave it neither, even if them naders come down the alley towards us every 10 years. #moorestrong

Ahh. Still bad news.

>people choose to live in Oklahoma

This shit passed over me (Amarillo) earlier this morning. Only lasted about 15-20 minutes but it was moving fast and picking up steam. Hail looked promising.

Local news in Oklahoma City said people will die today from the storms. Last time they said this was when Moore got fucked.

FEARMONGERING

Check those digits.
Good night Oklahoma.

The shear is also impressive. You need it to get things spinning.

>tfw Tulsa

I fucking hate May, I hate this gay weather state, I have no money, am a NEET, where do I go to escape this shithole?

underground

Sucks how this gay state's clay-based soil keeps us from having basements

Tornadic thunderstorms are comfy user. You are blessed.

Only like 1 in 40 houses here have shelters.

The news will still down play the weather in OK. Watch tonight it will be “Severe weather and massive destruction from Texas to Kansas.

It's pretty comfy until the sirens go off.

Speak for yourself, but plenty of places in Tulsa have actual basements.

We have 30+mph winds right now and already got fucked in the ass by tornadoes Saturday morning. How fucked am I tonight?

That’s not the reason you goof ball. It’s our shallow frost line. Clay is not stopping you from digging a basement

I just walk outside to see where it's at when they go off.

Alaska gets the least tornadoes
Theyve had FOUR since 1950
Go live with some Eskimos

So what do you guys do at times like this?

Get inn a bathtub and hope it misses you.

Some more mesoscale discussion

spc.noaa.gov/products/md/md0702.html

>SUMMARY...Environmental signals are continuing to point towards a
tornado outbreak with multiple strong to potentially violent
tornadoes across portions of western and central OK later this
afternoon into the evening.

>DISCUSSION...Visible imagery shows a bubbling and destabilizing
boundary layer with upwards of 4000-4500 J/kg MLCAPE developing
across the warm sector over western and central OK. Surface
dewpoints are rising through the lower 70s degrees F across western
and central OK.

This dude seems to know what the fuck he is talking abouut.

They used to tell them to get into a closet or bathtub and wear a helmet. Sometimes they recommended laying down in a ditch if you can actually believe it.

Now people literally evacuate in their car if they are in the path of a tornado since they can be tracked.

Do French like tornado

Huh. That's what I used to do when I lived in cali and a drive by happened outside

MOORE IS GONNA BE FUCKED AGAIN!

Women always take their clothes off for a tornado.

Nice.

Go to hawaii, they let you live in a tent on the beach legally, you are legally allowed to pan handle tourists without reporting the income, and healthcare is 100% free.

Nothing ever happens in stilly. feelsbadman.jaypeg

I always found it weird they told you not to drive during a tornado
If you can see that its moving away from you go in the opposite direction of its movement

I like them

Okay apparently the tornado hasn't started yet.

Any estimate on when will it hit any big city?

Because the roads fill up with cars and then people get killed when the tornado arrives

The roads are for official business. That is why storm chasers should be arrested and have their camera smashed.

What's up fireprotectionbro? I personally like having what I call the "Stillwater Split", where a tornadic system seems to always split around us because of the hills on the south side of town. Plus, I don't have to worry where to go and hide because of a nader.

I currently reside in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma.

How fucked am I?

Checking those digits. RIP pieces, fellow Okieanons.

T minus 55 minutes.

Based, I remember you.

Attached: oklahoma tornado map.jpg (3410x2560, 624K)

We got our fair share, like the rest of yurope. France had 2 EF5 in the past 2 centuries (most recent was like a little more than 50 years ago in the proper european tornado belt. About 40 miles southeast of where I live and a century ago, we happened to have the largest european tornado ( the Javaugues tornado -about 3 km wide, EF3 rated although retroactively, much like a small 2013 El Reno).

Also, there's some active French stormchasers in the area I think, these guys usually make documentaries out of their chase - they chased the Canadian counties, Moore, 2013 El Reno and Coolridge outbreaks.

Drive on the fields
A fucking funnel of wind is coming to kill you why would you stay on the road when your state is uber flat?

Ah shit, here we go again. Another government weather test. There test usually ends with property destruction and civilians killed. I wonder if they would set up the Super Tornado! A tornado that combines with other tornados!

It's all impassible mud or treelines/crops. Unless you've got a monster truck, you're fucked

Thinking of driving to Dallas or just west. Don't really feel like getting sucked up in the fucking sky today.

The reason is that if everyone evacuated then the roads would be clogged and many would die. Supposedly. Better sit still, citizen. Don't question the talking head on the TV.

But yeah, if you can see it bearing down on you better GTFO while you can. Just drive faster. If you can escape, why not do it. This is exactly what storm chasers do for a living.

I'm convinced that telling people to "lay down in a ditch" was a test to weed out those dumb enough to do so and who deserved to die.

Attached: 1466390095212.gif (640x266, 3.26M)

ground is saturated atm

>this
Also why they told people not to evacuate during hurricane Harvey. People all leave at once, traffic becomes completely jammed, vehicles run out of fuel, and people are stranded on foot.

Okie pollack here.

SE of OKC near the river. Still cloudy and cool. The wind has come up some and it is humid.

It doesn't feel like all the ingredients are here for an F5 but we're about to see I guess.

>Trusting anything anybody in Norman says
Never again.

RIP

>t. has never been on a field in his entire life

Weather dudes saying could be worse than 2011 outbreak. Also, most of Oklahoma is already flooding due to the rivers and lakes. I need to move out of this shithole.
