Also, larger isn't always better to ethnic minority. It can also be used to dilute their population. Like Qinghai, most of the province are populated by Amdo Tibetan population, but why the province is not an autonomous area as a whole? that's because they added the city of Xining, which have 2 million population now which are mostly Han with some Hui people, and the city of Haidong, which have 1 million population now and also contain mostly Han with some Hui people in the city, bringing the entire province population up to 5 million, contrasting the other part of the province that only have less than 2 million people in total.

Chinese people aren't rising up against their government because the economic growth they achieved make the life of most people feel sufficiently satisfied, and they have more to lost than they can gain from an alternative situation where everything changes
Also, China is too large and have too many people, if one group of people rise up they can easily command other groups of people to suppress them. It would be very difficult to get a significant portion of the billion population act together

Depends on where and who you ask. things like economic stability is not something so simple that some guys on a alaskan dogsledding board can accurately predict and judge. heck event the economists arent sure.

the thing about chinese economy is that due to currency exchange rate and subsidies, chinese products are extremely affordable. if anything i would say the chinese gdp is undervalued.

for example

To get a plumber to install a faucet in us would cost more than 50usd, adding 50 usd to the american economy

economy is nothing more than a population working to produce and then consume valuable goods and services. as long as the chinese population base don't abruptly collapse, then neither would the economy (maybe an occassional slowdown)
