ADOS vs Pan-africanism

Africans and pan-africanists are upset about a black american self-identity movement ADOS(american descendants of slavery), which I find kind of odd since it is partially a reactionary movement caused by African immigrants siding with the white establishment and everybody else talking shit about black americans. Is a movement specifically for and about black americans like ADOS, similar to what could be considered black nationalism?

How is it that only black Americans are obsessed with putting Africa in their name, like British blacks don't call themselves African British for example. Most of them have probably never been to Africa or would be sent home in disgrace by the genuine Africans because they are westernised knob heads.

Idris elba is african. Somebody who has roots in africa, as in knowing which country their parents came from and continuing traditions to a degree, and are completely unmixed with native white british are still ethnically african despite being born in the UK.

I know one American woman who refers to herself as African American, she spent 3 weeks in Senegal and got booted out by her husbands family because they couldn't stand her western ways, a big slap in the face for her.
