Nobody has applied general purpose quantum computers for any single commercial purpose.

Trades aren't a thing here, 95% of them barely pay above minimum wage and are actually fucking crappy jobs with long hours and really bad physical work that wrecks you. No, you'll either need a research position, or you need to spend your time in industry with a slightly different focus. there are plenty of more physicsish oriented positions in computing. and knowing about quantum phenomena is very useful for some fields. but I'm sorry there just aren't many quantum computing positions yet, and there won't be for awhile, so don't go around demanding gibs.
