That one I am just frantically looking for. There are several circuits for all those stupid halogen spots the guy had integrated into the ceiling. No idea where everything splits up, maybe directly behind the switches. Think I'll go another and simply jack into one of the halogen spot circuits (two big ones in the middle are close to original outlet position).

Now that looks like a truly Sisyphean task. If it's an Altbau and a Mietshaus, he probably used the regular ceiling wire and wall switch, leaving the transformer for the spot (under the assumption that they're DC lights as most Ceiling integrated spotlights tend to be) near that ceiling wire on the drop ceiling he installed. Why not take out one of the spots, stick a phone or other camera up there and do a 360 with it? That should give you a little bit of fresh Feindaufklaerung...

Normally you can just pull them down. Take out the bulb and feel around the top of the Rigipsdecke. There should be two wire springs holding the case in place from above. If there are, you can just pull it down - the springs are just about strong enough to hold the light fixture in place.
