Is this really authentic to the race soul of Nordic or Germanic people? What is this fascination? I feel the same about the attraction to Odin as I do to Christians and the Old Testament. In what way does it resonate? This story about a race of tricksters who go about abusing other people and sewing chaos by exploiting their misplaced trust. European people from what I can tell despite some less than stellar moments never have collectively behaved this way, or at least they don't brag about it. It's not a stereotype which we would be guilty of, so why would our chief God be a roving, abusive trickster? Why wouldn't an idol of our actual character be our chief deity? Neither the Torah nor the extant tales of Odin are expressions of Aryan people. They are expressions of disreputable priests (a race of priests in fact) who viewed religion as a convenient means of social control.
