>Volume III of the Red Cross Report, Chapter 3 (I. The Jewish Civilian People) deals with "helping the Jewish part of the free society," and this chapter explains quite clearly that in no way all European Jews were placed in internment camps, but they remained, subject to certain restrictions, part of a free civilian population. This is in direct contradiction to the "accuracy" of the alleged "extermination program," and the claim in Höss's false memoirs that Eichmann was obsessed with the arrest of "any Jew he could have caught."

>The report states that in Slovakia, for example, where he was supervising Eichmann's assistant - Dieter Wisliceny, "a significant part of the Jewish minority was allowed to stay in the country, and in certain periods Slovakia was treated as a relative oasis of refuge for Jews, especially for those coming from Poland. Those who remained in Slovakia seemed relatively safe until the end of August 1944, when a rebellion against the German forces took place. Although it is true that the law of 15/05/1942 brought internment to several thousand Jews, these people were kept in camps where accommodation and food were tolerable, and where internees were able to do paid work on almost the same terms as on the open market. "(Vol. I, p. 646).

>Not only a large number of 3 million European Jews avoided interning altogether, but the emigration of Jews during the war continued, usually through Hungary, Romania and Turkey. Ironically, the post-war emigration of Jews from the territories occupied by the Germans was also facilitated by the Reich, as in the case of Polish Jews who fled to France before the occupation.
