Your bones grow weaker and your spine expands upwards(6 foot tall astronauts have grown to 6'3 in space for example) ,It's another reason why astronauts and cosmonauts are ordered to do physical exercise to strengthen their weakening and changing skeletal structure. The first generation will be weak to space life but those that are born and survive their childhood in habitats will be stronger and more adapted and will get stronger in their new environments with each generation. Humans are remarkably adaptable at environments.

Its a real possibility for long term extra planetary colonisation that people born on Mars,Titan,Europa,stations in the asteroid belt etc won't ever be able to return to the homeworld at least not without extremely advanced exo suits that strengthen the massively weaker bone density. It's quite sad. The Expanse novels and TV series actually delve into that theme with the Belters and Martians with the former being by far the worst affected.
Just imagining sending 1.3bn Africans to space is making me laugh.

Not really, you still have to be extremely intelligent in engineering,a scientific field and mathematics. That applies to very few people.
They won't recruit someone to work on something like the James Webb space telescope if they weren't qualified for the task just because a quota tells them "you must have at least 1 non white for every 2 whites. At least 1 in every 5 people must be LGBT" etc. Quota hires are definitely endemic elsewhere though and its killing off society.

You also have to realise a lot of the people you saw back in the old days were probably just like those we see today sitting in those control rooms but the decline of public decency,loosening of personal standards,professionalism and morals has made them appear more eccentic and quirky because they can now be who they really are. It does irritate me seeing pink haired women and heavily tattooed men with toys on their desks sitting at space control centres. It just doesn't look good for the image.

At least the men and women in the video for "We are Going" all look normal. Pretty much confirms the private companies have all been dropping crates and modular buildings off on the surface of Luna for a while now if its all going to happen in less than 4 1/2 years. Must be in the craters due to the water supply there. Still exciting times.
