If it's FTTP then yes you can easily get 4. If it's FTTN then probably yes if you have a second phone line and/or can get one connected. If HFC then maybe? might just be able to get a splitter and hook 2 modems up.

As to whether NBN's advanced systems can handle something as crazy registering 2 phone lines or 2 modems at the same address is probably the bigger obstacle

you can split if you need too. Not sure if this allows two connections because the NBN co side needs to be requisitioned and I don't think you can do 2 going in one cable. Technically, if it was a direct cable link from you to the ISP side you'd just be able to login (and be metered by the ISP), but NBN co is between you and the ISP which is your main problem.

So you can split the one cable, but that means you'll need 1 plan so you'd need to have an unlimited cable bill and split the cost between both houses.

The alternative is laying a second line (which will allow two different plans) but that's going to cost you. You'll need to look up NBN connections to new home or something.

The mining sector has always been an exceptional addition and isn't a great indicator of economic health. Banks are a little better, than the up and down miners. Stagnation in wages (which should naturally be going up due to falling birth rates) can only be explained by mass immigration which allows companies to have all the bargaining power, maxes out competition, and sets the price for labor.
