Based cardinal rebukes acceptance of Muslim invaders

Honestly, whether or not the Pope is an anti-Christ, I think we really need ecumenicism right now. Even the Indians have a religious-nationalist PM in office. If we focus on our common belief in Christ as our highest authority and work together, as the true invisible church should, who's to say we couldn't have a Christian president in a few years? The truth is that America has never been a Christian nation at the higher levels of government. The founding fathers were pagan Masons. But now is a better time than any to make a change.

Yeah, Trump was “based” but not redpilled. He was literally a degenerate. You need better.

>I think we really need ecumenicism right now
BTFO, Pr*testant. The only ecumenism we welcome is you, heretics to come back to the Church.

Look, buddy. Your body has been in error for a very long time. You have no respect for the Holy Scriptures, and your pope (who most Romans seem to care about more than Christ himself, who is the true head of the church) is a sodomite lover and a panzy.

Burn them all.

It'll take a lot of searching to find that sort of candidate.
This entire country is full of degeneracy and the people who should be leading us into the future typically do not want to.

Got confirmed Catholic at Easter Vigil 2018. Since then the blessings have not ceased despite hardships and struggles, too. I spent my first year as a Catholic just attending weekly mass and volunteering when asked by one of the Deacons to do things like hand out communion wafers to those unable to attend mass, and this most recent Lent to lead the Stations of the Cross in our beautiful church. Become Catholic and discover a culture centered on Jesus Christ. For all the bluster I heard growing up, through non-Catholics, through media, through Jow Forums, about how horrible and evil Popes and Catholicism is, in actuality it is nothing more or less than the practice of Christianity. In the HBO show that /tv/ gushes over, the "Pope" says "God this, God that" over and over again, but in practice a Catholic church is constantly singing and saying the name of Jesus Christ, unlike anything my new england baptist upbringing told me to expect from it. Stop letting others tell you what Catholics are or what being a Catholic is, BECOME Catholic and see for yourself. My youthful rage had taken me a long way, and my "research" and "knowledge" kept me from setting foot in a Catholic church. Experience has taught me that my "research" and "knowledge" was all bullshit.

>people who should be leading us into the future typically do not want to
Reminds me of something I read in Isaiah a couple weeks ago.
>When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying, Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand: In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people.
>(Isa 3:6-7)
Also relevant:
>The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.
>(Isa 3:9)
>As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
>(Isa 3:12)
>Moreover the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:
>(Isa 3:16)

>the people who should be leading us into the future typically do not want to.
I disagree. You can't be a successful leader if you don't have the drive to do what's best for your people. Those people shouldn't be leading us, because their lack of motivation is a fatal character flaw unto itself

Guess I should have included 3:17
>Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret parts.
>(Isa 3:17)

The important thing to remember is that there is an invisible church, which we refer to as the catholic (universal) church, and every one of its members is a true believer. Not everyone in the RCC is a true believer, and no protestant denomination is without dead members.

Also, you should think about why you're attracted to the RCC. For most young people, it seems to be the illustrious culture and the romantic idea of belonging to an institution that has technically stood for two millennia. But walking with Christ and bearing your cross is far from a romantic experience.

MFW, we will never have a redpilled American pope.

>young people
>romance
I sailed around south america working the flight deck, fought the USS GW fire, and a month+half later did a cushy 6 months of ISAR out of al asad, which honestly was way easier than the carrier. What do you know about my expeirence? My romance? lol

Its pretty sad that this has been protestantism's arguement for 6 centuries and it's still factually true.

This is a Pope i would get behind.

Sorry, didn't mean to assume your demographic. You just caught my attention when you mentioned the culture. I almost joined the RCC because I was so fascinated with the culture, but when I started to notice how many people in the local parish were actually completely dead in their faith but instead thought that sacraments could save them, I left.

This is similar to what kept me from it, I went to an all-boys Catholic high school and the experience made me a militant atheist for many years. But after enough study and reflection I gave it a shot and decided that even if the inside was rotten, I could enter and be an example to others, and if I'm not, then that's not the churches or God's fault, it's only mine.

>"What part of 'SHALL NOT INFRINGE' do you not understand, European Union?"
>"God made marijuana, so persecuting people for growing marijuana is persecuting God. Don't make me call up another crusade!"
>"Hey Cardinal? This is Pope Washington I. Can you take care of mass, me and my buddies are going deer hunting this weekend."
>"Any county that lets in more 'refugees' per year than the number of years it has existed is out of communion."
>"Make catholicism great again."

t. Pope Washington I, 2028-2079

I went through the same thing. Was raised in a Presbyterian chuch where I basically got bullied, and eventually I turned on the faith altogether. In fact, I don't think I even believed before that.

Almost every Catholic I've talked to online has said the same thing as you. Sometimes I wonder if the RCC could be reformed, but it seems like an impossible task. The system of government is so prone to corruption.

catholicism is cringe since the 60s and burke is part of the shitty system
also being a catholic means nothing these days, its mostly a cultural/historic designation

Systems aren't corrupt, sin corrupts people and they behave corruptly. Christ is the system and He is impervious to corruption. Christ has assured us that the faithless and their deeds will be forgotten by God (the definition of Hell), but the saved will be remembered. If you're already saved, then just go forward. Try all the churches around you! Would Jesus Christ stop you from attending Christian churches just because they don't have a home base in Rome? I can't say for certain, but I highly doubt it. So just do you, as long as Christ is in you.
