This data might be lies to cover up the fact that there would be a collision. If not a collision, fragments of the asteroid could come this way. For sure, you must understand this. KW4 is the first asteroid to pass this close to the Earth in years. Why not tell the public more about it? There was no news coverage about KW4 prior to this month.
The planetary defense conference was held 3 weeks ago. They discussed a hypothetical scenario were an asteroid gets close to the Earth and gradually increases chances to collide. Eventually, they fail, and fragments of the Asteroid the size of 60 m wide completely obliterate NYC. Could it be they disguised the PDC as an emergency meeting? After all, they couldn't stop tiny Asteroid. Why bother with a monster of 1.3 kilometers in diameter and a something like 2 tonnes in mass?
