Four more deaths have been reported on Everest as concerns grow about the risks posed by the severe overcrowding on the world’s highest mountain this year.
Kevin Hynes, 56, from Ireland, died in his tent at 7,000 metres early on Friday, having turned back before reaching the summit. The father of two was part of a group from the UK-based 360 Expeditions.
The climbing company said: “It is with the greatest sadness that we have to confirm that one of our Everest team has passed away. Kevin was one of the strongest and most experienced climbers on our team, and had previously summited Everest South and Lhotse.”

The funny thing is there's little known peaks in the Himalayas which are deserted. Anyone could climb them and it would be a climbing achievement perhaps greater than Everest at this point because of the dangers of climbing something that hasn't been done and analyzed 500 billion times over, but all anyone climbs Everest for is to tell other people that they did it and try to garner some sort of admiration. I watched a video of some obese old man reaching the summit. Send that guy out to climb something else in that chain with less information and he'll end up a flabby popsicle buried in a crevasse somewhere.

They is only a season you can climb without high risk of danger and the weather is also a bitch. People wait weeks for the perfect weather and they have like max 2-3 chance to climb or risk it with a "average" day. In this height, the weather can turn in 2 hours from sunshine to a storm.

Everest is a literal shit show About early to mid April about 30 expieranced Sherpas and team leaders climb the mountain and set up dozens of ladders and lay miles of rope. Then mid April a bunch of rich Boomer ass holes and techie Xers show up having spent 50-100k to climb.
They climatize and shit all over the area leaving roughly 2 tons of garbage per person. Then they start to climb and have only a 1-2 week window and on that maybe 4 days where you can reach the summit.
The actual only hard part is only a hour from the top called the Hillary step. This is where you see all these ass holes line up and die. Because only one person can go up or down at a time and it takes about a hour for a single boomer to climb it, 20 min for someone in shape, now imagine there's 1600 people all trying to do this choke point at once because there is 1 Sherpa per climber.
Above 8km you're simply dieing from the lack or o2 and altitude Pressure.

You can climb Everest in spring, fall and winter. You can climb from various sides.
The problem is 100 percent of the tourists use the same easy route in the same time ... why? Because it is technically so easy, an inexperienced 10yr old can climb it. Doing different routes at different times is an actual challenge, but tourists aren’t interested in a challenge, they just want their selfie, even if that means death or waiting 7hrs in line for the selfie. Embarassing, the names of every last one of these idiot tourists should be published on the “dumbest rich people there are who kill others and trash the environment” list for everyone too see.
