The time has come to take environmentalism back from the leftist hordes. The SJWs has started to attack the Greens for adopting "fearmongering" nationalist rhetoric about concern for "future generations" and "nation"
>Extinction is framed as a moral problem that affects us all equally. Even the use of the term extinction calls to mind survival-of-the-fittest narratives. And, whilst its activism is spectacular, ultimately it is grand martyrdom and attention-grabbing embarrassment for the respectable middle-classes. Extinction Rebellion’s non-political ecology is more fear-mongering than justice-seeking political programme. >However, what primarily concerns me is Extinction Rebellion’s tendency towards a kind of “green nationalism”. For example, its “declaration of rebellion” focuses on protecting and reproducing the “nation” against the “destruction of all we hold dear: this nation, its peoples, our ecosystems and the future of generations to come”. Extinction Rebellion's use of apocalyptic imagery leads us to focus upon possible dystopia caused by climate collapse for the global north, rather than the very real apocalyptic present for many in the global south. And, like other populist movements, their pronouncement of a state of emergency mandates the need to tackle climate change outside of the realm of politics. Together, perhaps unwittingly, these leave the movement open to co-option, especially in a context where politics is increasingly centred on the interests of the nation.
I don't care if you think climate change politics are leftist ploy to support marxist policies, because there exists a large group of "true believers" who don't care about the leftist politics and just want to solve the pollution problem. The SJWs are starting to attack them for not sticking with the program and being "too white"
I'm not a green nationalist, but I remember seeing the environmentalist claims that "EACH PERSON IN X COUNTRY GENERATES Y AMOUNT OF CARBON A YEAR, MORE THAN THE PEOPLE OF [third world shithole]"
I also remember seeing pics with huge streams of refugeees.
Imagine a pic showing how much of a difference in carbon that makes.
THIS ISN'T JUST A BOAT OF MIGRANTS. IT'S Y*Z MORE CARBON A YEAR.
Levi Bennett
Holy shit i agree with that pic 100%
Instead of refugees, why cant we have dogs, beavers and racoons trying to get into Europe? No documents needed if your a koala bear or red panda
Adrian Hughes
Explain the basis of Green Nationalism in detail.
Oliver Roberts
Is green nationalism the same as eco-fascism? Because I consider myself one but there's a lot of eco-fascists I disagree with
Parker Howard
I don't understand why the right is so willing to bend over for the fossil fuel industry when nationalism is one of their stronger issues in recent years.
If you think Mexican migration is bad now, you ain't seen nothing yet. Their aquifers haven't even run dry yet. Give it a few more years with the added climate variability and it'll be a nightmare.
Brody Ortiz
Environmentalism isnt a left-right issue
Dominic Walker
>I don't understand why the right is so willing to bend over for the fossil fuel industry if anyone had an answer it'd be worth considering
Leo Rogers
What are some green nationalism books? I need something to read anyway
Supporting immigration into high per capita countries is literally the opposite of fighting climate change. If anything they should be supporting sending people from developed countries to go live in developing ones.
Angel Long
I’m currently looking at the American chestnut foundation. There’s a supposed blight resistant tree in my town planted in the 80s but I keep forgetting to send in a leaf or two for them to see if it is and not a hybrid. If it is I’m going to gather all the nuts I can and get them sprouted and plant them as I go on hikes
global warming doesn't exist, it's a leftist political movement, contamination and degradation of the environment does, and most of it's caused by non-white countries, non-whites are the cancer of the world
Lucas Cox
If you support green politics and eco-nationalism then you should support gun control, to a degree
Also I'm willing to support eco-nationalism if and only if you stop demonizing CO2
Isaac Clark
The ideology's esoterica requires a belief in the balance between man and nature, as overseen by the state. This also means that violating this natural balance, which is what makes an act immoral, should be stopped, and in this is a limitation on guns and gun accessory access. Note also that I only use this in opposition to the 'don't give an inch' NRA fags, and even the courts agree with the 'common sense' view. Allow me to shill a blog; diyexumik.wixsite.com/link/single-post/i-support-gun-control
Also, what's the deal with CO2?
Christian Roberts
>believes something false >master race you wish
Dylan Johnson
If you don't like CO2 go plant some trees.
Landon Roberts
I care more about the ultimatum's justification.
Angel Cruz
To protect the world from devastation To unite all people within our nation To denounce the evils of truth and love To extend our reach to stars above
Gavin Flores
CO2 is a huge bogeyman. After alk the years of studies they still dont have conclusive evidence of manmade climate change. Yes, the climate is changing, but it changes naturally and there is no proof it would have changed in a diferent way if no yuman industries had existed. All climatological models have been very bogus, and their predictions failed time after time.
Also I disagree with the notion of balance between man and nature. Nature is contantly mutating, always changing it's own rules. Many times it has used biological agents for these changes. For ecample, 21% of the atmosphere is oxygen, this oxygen is a bioemission. In the distant past living organisms changed the atmospheric composition, it was part of nature. We are agents of nature too because we are part of nature.
Then think about the nationalist part, why would we preserve the environment if it is not to live in it? Our civilization is inevitably going to alter nature, because every organism alters nature, microbes have altered it way harder than we have. We should not try to preserve it in the state it was, because it constantly changes, we just need to make sure it doesnt change in a way thst will fuck us over, such as dumping heavy metals on the water supply.
