Government started by creating more alphabet commisar beurocracies to staff with women. "Make the DMV, so we can give women busy work." Government agencies produce nothing, they are parasitical on an economy. So now, even two working adults can barely afford rent, let alone buying a house.

Basic supply and demand. More workers = lower pay, as more competiton forces people to do more for less.
