Ideas of Populism, Nationalism and Republicanism have existed in thought since..well we don't really know. A long time ago. Unless your aim is to return to the Copper Age, reactionary in the sense you're talking about is actually non-existent.
But the simple reality is that I don't support Populism, and only support elements of Republicanism. Nationalism is the basic form of large numbered Human existence, though. All the "enlightenment" really is, is 18th century philosophers rehashing Classical Greek philosophy and then applying it slightly differently to the conditions of the post-Renaissance period. I have a strong feeling that I am more of a 'reactionary' than you are, since I am aware that all of Western Civilization, and thus the entire Modern world is built on the philosophical, legal and sociological precepts of the Ancient Greeks.

the problem with the classical critique of Marxism is that it takes many foundational assumptions of capitalism and naturalizes them.
It doesn't historicize the current relations we have with production, it just assumes that these are the only way that an economy can be organized
