There is no such thing as an 'ethical collapse' persay. We will never, for instance, reach 'peak homosexuality' one day and wake up to find we're living in Mad Max. What actually happens is moral decay renders a society brittle, it weakens the interior to the point it can't survive an outside force or calamity that a younger, more robust society would easily weather. That is the true danger. Left to itself its doubtful things would ever 'collapse' just due to the internal forces of decay.
